Bac Ninh, Lang Son, and five other provinces simultaneously held the 10th grade entrance exam.

On May 26th, seven provinces and cities across the country simultaneously held the entrance exam for 10th grade high school in the 2026-2027 school year, with Bac Ninh and Lang Son being the first two localities to hold the exam.

Along with Bac Ninh and Lang Son, the provinces of Hung Yen, Dien Bien , Nghe An, Quang Tri, and Lai Chau continue to hold the final exams for the general high school system and entrance exams for specialized classes this year.

In Bac Ninh, the entrance exam for 10th grade high school took place over three days, from May 26th to 28th.

Candidates will take exams in three subjects: mathematics, literature, and English. According to the enrollment plan for the 2026-2027 school year, the entire province is expected to recruit nearly 41,000 students for 10th grade in high schools.

Of these, public schools will enroll nearly 31,900 students, while the remaining approximately 9,100 places will be available at private schools.

This is one of the localities with a large enrollment scale in the northern region.

At the same time, in Lang Son , more than 11,000 ninth-grade students are taking the entrance exam for tenth grade in high school this year.

According to the exam schedule, on the morning of May 26th, candidates will take the Literature exam for 120 minutes; in the afternoon, they will take the English exam for 60 minutes. On May 27th, candidates will take the Mathematics exam for 120 minutes.

May 28th is for candidates registering to take the entrance exam for 10th grade at Chu Van An Specialized High School and ethnic boarding schools, with specialized subject exams as prescribed.

Also today, many provinces entered their second day of exams or held specialized subject exams.

According to reports, all localities have strengthened security and safety measures at examination sites, while also supporting candidates from remote and disadvantaged areas to travel conveniently during the examination period.

This year, the 10th grade entrance exam continues to be a major focus of attention for parents and students nationwide, especially given the rapid increase in student numbers in many localities and the continued high demand for admission to public schools.
