Spreading the appeal through practical benefits.
In mid-May 2026, the Trade Union of Vietnam Innova Co., Ltd. (VSIP Hai Phong Industrial Park) was officially established with 107 members. Notably, the union was founded just two months after the company began operations and was still in its trial run phase.
The early establishment of trade unions in fledgling enterprises demonstrates the growing awareness within businesses of the role of trade unions in the development of production and business.
Mr. Peng Guo Zong, Deputy Director of Vietnam Innova Co., Ltd., stated that the company builds its strategic vision based on technological innovation, market expansion, product diversification, and corporate culture development. To realize these strategic goals, the establishment of a trade union provides the company with a crucial resource to leverage its strengths.
The company is committed to always listening to and respecting the voices of the trade union and the workers. At the same time, it will create all favorable conditions for the trade union to effectively perform its functions and duties, aiming for sustainable development and continuously improving the lives of the workers.
According to Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh, Chairwoman of the company's Trade Union, immediately after its establishment, the Trade Union Executive Committee quickly stabilized its organization and began promoting the signing of collective labor agreements, considering this an important legal tool to protect the legitimate rights and interests of workers and stabilize production.
The trade union proactively coordinates with enterprise leaders to launch labor and production emulation movements, contributing to the successful implementation of the company's production and business plan.

Previously, at the end of April 2026, 531 workers of Tinno Vietnam Co., Ltd. (An Duong Industrial Park) became members of the Vietnam Trade Union.
The need to establish trade unions comes not only from workers but also from businesses themselves. Workers want an organization to represent and protect their legitimate rights and interests, while businesses need a reliable partner to engage in dialogue, listen, and build harmonious labor relations.
According to the company's union president, Vu Thi Lan, in addition to policies supporting meal allowances, overtime pay, transportation allowances, and housing for workers, the union continues to advise the business owner to research further solutions to improve the welfare of its members. The grassroots union also proposed that the city's union survey bus routes to make commuting easier for workers.
"Where there are workers, there are trade unions."
The "coverage" of trade unions is not only happening in FDI enterprises in industrial zones but is also spreading strongly to small and medium-sized enterprises.
In Hong Bang ward, which manages 227 grassroots trade unions with nearly 16,000 members, the campaign to establish grassroots trade unions is implemented through various flexible methods.
According to representatives of the Hong Bang Ward Trade Union, the area is characterized by a concentration of small, medium, and micro-sized enterprises, resulting in frequent labor turnover. Many businesses with fewer than 10 employees are not yet enthusiastic about establishing a trade union.
To overcome these difficulties, the unit focused on disseminating information and mobilizing business owners regarding legal regulations, especially Government Decree 105/2026/ND-CP. Accordingly, businesses, even those without established trade unions, are still required to pay trade union fees.
Through awareness campaigns, many businesses have realized that establishing a trade union not only complies with legal regulations but is also a solution to retain employees and build a stable working environment.
Thanks to its flexible approach, in the first five months of 2026, the Hong Bang Ward Trade Union successfully established 6 grassroots trade unions, achieving 67% of the annual plan, and recruited 223 new members.

Comrade Nguyen Hong Quang, Deputy Head of the Industrial Zone Trade Union Committee, Hai Phong City Federation of Labor, said that with the motto "wherever there are workers, there is a trade union," the unit coordinated with the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board to review enterprises without trade union organizations, and visited these enterprises to propagate and mobilize workers.
When workers clearly see the tangible benefits that unions bring, the mobilization process becomes easier.
During this year's Workers' Month, the Hai Phong Trade Union provided emergency support to 455 cases of work-related accidents with a total budget of over 1.8 billion VND; and presented gifts to 100 particularly disadvantaged cases.
At the same time, the organization provided free eye examinations for over 3,000 union members; free oil changes for 1,000 people's vehicles; and distributed 5,000 free swimming tickets to union members and their children…
Recognizing the practical benefits of becoming a union member, since the beginning of the year, the Steering Committee has established 44 grassroots trade unions and recruited 14,981 new members.
During this Workers' Month alone, the Industrial Zone Trade Union Committee established 22 grassroots trade unions and admitted 7,491 new members. It is expected that the target of 10,000 new members will be achieved by the end of Workers' Month.
These figures not only reflect the scale of the trade union's development but also demonstrate the widespread impact of its practical welfare activities.
Expanding the organization is no longer a mere administrative task. It is a process of building trust, fostering harmonious and stable labor relations, and moving towards sustainable development – where every worker has a voice, protection, and opportunities for better care.
As of May 15th, the entire city had established 150 grassroots trade unions and recruited 23,824 new members (10,410 members in newly established grassroots trade unions and 13,414 members in units that already had trade union organizations).
During Workers' Month alone, 59 grassroots trade unions were established, and 10,007 new members were recruited.
