According to initial information, the fire was discovered at around 8:00 AM on May 25th in the acacia forest area located between these two communes. Immediately after receiving the report, the Forest Protection Department coordinated with the fire police, regular police, military , local authorities, militia, and local residents to extinguish the fire.

However, controlling the fire was difficult due to the intense heat, dense vegetation, and strong southwest winds, which caused the fire to spread rapidly. In addition, the fire occurred in multiple locations, and the water source for firefighting was far away, making water replenishment time-consuming.

Currently, hundreds of firefighters are simultaneously deploying multiple methods to extinguish the fire, such as using water hoses combined with clearing undergrowth and creating firebreaks to prevent the fire from spreading.

As of 5 PM on the same day, the fire had not been completely extinguished. Authorities continued to maintain personnel and equipment at the scene to control the blaze. Currently, authorities are unable to assess the extent of the damage caused by the fire.
