During his career, he was awarded the Third-Class Labor Medal, the International Service Commemorative Medal, the National Unity Commemorative Medal, along with numerous commendations from central and local ministries and agencies.
In 1978, he was one of the Vietnamese volunteers who fought to help Cambodia. Recalling that time, Mr. Thach Sa My emotionally stated that the years of fulfilling his international duty will always be an unforgettable memory for him and his comrades. With the spirit of a revolutionary soldier, he was always ready to fight and fulfill the tasks assigned by the Party and the State.
After returning to his hometown at the end of 1982, he continued to hold various positions such as Chief of the Office of the Provincial Ethnic Affairs Committee, and Head of the Administrative Department of the Provincial National Assembly and People's Council Delegation. Regardless of the field, he was always dedicated, responsible, and performed his assigned duties well.

In particular, as a member of the Management Board of the Lo Gach Pagoda Archaeological Site, he actively promoted and encouraged people to agree to the excavation and preservation of the site, contributing to the excavation and discovery of "gold leaf" by experts, which was recognized by the Government as a National Treasure in 2024.

Throughout his 45 years as a Party member, Mr. Trang Hoang Minh has consistently upheld a spirit of responsibility, closeness to the people, and exemplary conduct in all local movements. Upon receiving the 45-year Party membership badge, he emotionally shared that this is a precious reward and a proud milestone in his personal journey. For him, it is also a motivation to continue upholding the qualities and ethics of a Party member, contributing to building a cleaner and stronger Party branch and committee.
According to Mr. Trang Hoang Minh, learning from and following President Ho Chi Minh's example must begin with concrete actions, demonstrating a sense of responsibility, a simple lifestyle, and consistency between words and deeds. Even after retirement, he actively learns, develops his family's economy, and boldly transforms production methods to set an example for others; his family has consistently received the title of exemplary cultural family for many years.
Mr. Minh said: “My family is currently converting 0.7 hectares of mixed orchards to Malaysian coconut plantations, while also effectively cultivating over 3 hectares of rice. I always believe that Party members must match words with actions. If I can do it myself, then when I contribute ideas to the Party branch's resolution on socio-economic development, it will be more persuasive, and the people will trust and follow me.”
