Quang Tan commune, Lam Dong province, has always paid attention to and developed Party members in ethnic minority areas to contribute to building a strong Party organization and promoting development in remote and disadvantaged areas.

In 2013, Mr. Hang A Minh, from Tan Lap village, Quang Tan commune, had the honor of joining the Party. In 2018, Mr. Minh was trusted by the Party branch and elected as the Secretary of the village Party branch.

In his role and responsibilities, Mr. Hang A Minh has always been a role model, leading the way in all local movements and activities, and actively encouraging villagers to correctly implement the Party's guidelines and policies and the laws of the State.

Thanks to the active propaganda and mobilization efforts of the Party branch and the self-governing committee, along with the efforts of the people, the lives of the villagers are increasingly developing. While in 2020, over 90% of households in the village were poor, by 2025, only 40 out of 201 households will be poor according to the new criteria.

Since 2020, the Tan Lap village Party branch has admitted 3 new members, bringing the total to 7, all of whom are Mong ethnic people. Currently, the Party branch committee is guiding one outstanding individual in writing their application for Party membership to be submitted to the competent authority for verification and consideration for Party membership in 2026.

Party member Vàng A Súa from Ninh Hòa village actively engages in labor, production, and economic development, setting an example for the people to learn from and follow.

According to Thào A Sẩu, Secretary of the Party Branch of Ninh Hòa village, Quảng Tân commune, after joining the Party, many Party members continue to receive attention, education , training, and knowledge, setting a good example and leading the way in their work and lives.

In this context, young party members have played a leading role in local socio-economic development movements. Many party members have matured, gained the trust of the Party and the people, and become key officials in their communities.

Creating a source for party development

Quang Tan commune currently has 34 hamlets and villages, and 6 Mong ethnic minority settlements. The entire commune has approximately 31,180 inhabitants; of which, about 5,000 are Mong people. Recognizing that developing Party members in ethnic minority areas contributes to building, consolidating, and enhancing the Party's leadership capacity, the commune Party Committee issues a resolution on Party building work annually. This resolution sets a target for each Party branch to recruit 1 to 2 new members per year.

The Party Committee of Quang Tan commune currently has 605 party members, of which 123 are ethnic minority members (26 of whom are Mong people), belonging to the Party branches of Tan Lap, Ninh Hoa, Doan Ket, Si At, Giang Chau and Sin Chai villages .

Through propaganda campaigns, sanitation activities, and rural development initiatives, exemplary individuals are identified and potential candidates for Party membership are introduced.

Along with strengthening propaganda, the locality promotes emulation movements in labor, production, social welfare, and new rural construction… From there, it identifies and nurtures positive individuals to be trained and admitted into the Party.

The commune Party Committee assigns Party Committee members to participate in activities at grassroots Party branches to proactively grasp the actual situation, especially the difficulties and obstacles faced by the Party branches in developing Party members, in order to find solutions.

In addition, the commune Party Committee pays attention to outstanding individuals in ethnic minority areas to introduce, train, and admit them into the Party. Thanks to this, the local Party member development work always meets the set targets and plans.
