Entrance fees to Eo Gió tourist area have been reduced.

On June 27, Mr. Pham Van Thanh, Deputy Director of the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Finance, informed the press that the investor of the Eo Gió tourist area (Quy Nhon Dong ward, Gia Lai province) has reduced the entrance fee to 30,000 VND per person.

According to Mr. Thanh, the price of 30,000 VND per visit is appropriate for the Eo Gió tourist spot. After winning the auction for the exploitation rights, the company invested in and renovated several facilities, improved some areas, and added staff to serve the tourists.

"Previously, the business increased ticket prices to 40,000-50,000 VND per trip, a sudden increase that drew negative reactions from the public and tourists," Mr. Thanh said, adding that the unit is continuing to monitor and supervise the investment, operation, and ticket collection to ensure they are harmonious and commensurate with the quality of service at the Eo Gió tourist area.

As reported by SGGP newspaper, many tourists were surprised when the entrance fee to Eo Gió increased from 22,000 VND to 46,000 VND per person. Due to a 20% discount program, tourists now pay 40,000 VND per person.
