| Gasoline and diesel prices continued to rise on the afternoon of February 5th. |
Specifically, the price of RON95-III gasoline has been adjusted upwards by 35 VND/liter, with the retail price not exceeding 18,880 VND/liter. Similarly, the price of E5 RON92 gasoline has increased by 100 VND/liter compared to the current base price, with the retail price not exceeding 18,439 VND/liter.
Following the same trend, the price of 0.05S diesel increased by 280 VND/liter, with the selling price not exceeding 18,453 VND/liter. Kerosene prices were adjusted up by 214 VND/liter compared to the current level, with the retail price not exceeding 18,390 VND/liter. Meanwhile, the price of 180CST 3.5S fuel oil will not exceed 15,150 VND/kg, an increase of 517 VND/kg compared to the current level. As in previous price adjustments, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance did not allocate or utilize the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund for petroleum products in today's price adjustment.
In February, the revised decree on petroleum business is expected to be issued. Accordingly, businesses will be empowered to manage prices, ensuring a balance related to various costs and the supply of petroleum in different regions. Prices will fluctuate according to global developments, with appropriate price adjustments.
The fuel price stabilization fund will be centralized in a state-owned account outside the budget (currently, this fund is held by enterprises in separate accounts). The fuel price stabilization plan will be developed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade along with other ministries and agencies. The plan and criteria for using the fuel price stabilization fund will be approved by the Prime Minister .
