Lilies have long been considered a very distinctive symbol of Hanoi during the transitional months of March and April. The pure, simple yet sophisticated beauty of this flower, when incorporated into the Octagonal House, helps to evoke a layer of cultural memory, both broad and deep, of the capital city.

Following the success of the "Peaceful Hanoi" live concert held the day before (March 28), the open-air stage space was maintained with clusters of horn speakers arranged subtly, blending with the ancient architecture of the Octagonal House and the landscape of Hoan Kiem Lake.
In particular, when melodies about Hanoi are played, the music seems to resonate more easily with listeners because of the visually stimulating context. The white of the lilies, the solemnity of the Octagonal House architecture, and the rhythm of Hanoi's streets touch the emotions of the listeners; music and soul are in harmony in these romantic jazz tunes.

Meritorious Artist Quyen Van Minh and the artists of Binh Minh Jazz Club continue to bring to the public familiar melodies reminiscent of Hanoi's 12 seasons of flowers through works such as: "Hanoi - Faith and Hope," "My Winter," "Remembering Hanoi's Autumn," and "Autumn for You"... Alongside these are classic jazz pieces like "Yardbird Suite," "Blue Bossa," "St. Thomas," as well as familiar tunes like "Summertime" and "On the Sunny Side of the Street."

The choice of the Octagonal House as an open stage, combined with sophisticated art installations, demonstrates a flexible approach to building community cultural spaces. Art is not separate from the landscape but blends into life, creating multi-sensory experiences and contributing to the formation of a natural habit of engaging with culture.

From programs like the "Peaceful Hanoi" live concert to "Weekend Music," the city's efforts to bring art to public spaces and create aesthetically pleasing cultural meeting points are evident. There, the public is not merely an audience but becomes a recipient and creator of culture through listening, feeling, and sharing artistic experiences in their lives.
