Dissolution of 52 grassroots unions

Leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Trade Unions handed over the decision to dissolve the grassroots trade unions in the administrative and public sector receiving 100% of their salaries from the state budget.

On the afternoon of June 18, the Provincial Party Agencies Trade Union and the Provincial People's Committee Trade Union held a conference to announce the decision to dissolve 52 affiliated grassroots trade unions. At the same time, the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and Inspection Committee of the above trade unions will cease operations from June 14, 2025. The Executive Committees of the dissolved grassroots trade unions are responsible for handing over all seals, union finances, accounting vouchers, and related documents to superiors according to regulations.

The 52 grassroots trade unions dissolved this time are administrative units and public service units receiving 100% of their salaries from the state budget.

According to Decree No. 60/2021/ND-CP dated June 21, 2021 of the Government , public service units with a self-insurance level of regular expenditures below 10% will have to be dissolved. This is to concretize the Party's policy on streamlining the apparatus, improving operational efficiency and building a strong trade union organization, suitable for the new situation.

According to the assessment of the leaders of the Provincial Labor Federation, in recent years, the trade unions of the administrative sector and public service units of the province have constantly made efforts and strived to fulfill their assigned functions and tasks. They have organized many practical activities to care for the lives of more than 5,000 union members, civil servants, public employees and workers. They have actively participated in emulation movements to contribute to building agencies and units to be increasingly strong and developed.

Also on this occasion, the Provincial Party Agencies Trade Union handed over 3 grassroots trade unions; the Provincial People's Committee Trade Union handed over 18 grassroots trade unions to the Provincial Labor Federation to manage, direct and operate activities according to regulations.

In early March 2025, the Provincial Labor Federation established the Provincial Party Agencies Trade Union and the Provincial People's Committee Trade Union. Of which, the Provincial Party Agencies Trade Union includes 24 grassroots trade unions and 1,164 union members. The Provincial People's Committee Trade Union has 47 grassroots trade unions and 7,210 union members.
