Simultaneously, the network of official nominating partners for the VinFuture Awards continues to expand strongly, with 17,154 partners from 117 countries and territories across all five continents. This scale represents an increase of approximately 16% compared to the 2025 season and more than 14 times the size of the first season in 2021. At the same time, the number of countries and territories with nominating partners has nearly doubled in just six years.

Notably, 1,415 of VinFuture 2026's nominated partners belong to the top 2% of the world's most cited researchers. Nearly 8,000 experts come from prestigious universities, research institutes, and scientific organizations globally, such as the Australian Academy of Science, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Stanford University, Harvard University, University of California, Berkeley (USA), Oxford University (UK), National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU, Singapore), Weizmann Institute (Israel), etc.

Nominating partners participate on a voluntary basis and play a crucial role in identifying and nominating outstanding scientific works that have the potential to create positive changes in the lives of billions of people globally . They also contribute to spreading VinFuture's influence to the international scientific community and fostering cross-border academic connections. Several outstanding nominating partners visited Vietnam during the VinFuture Science and Technology Weeks in 2024 and 2025 to connect and exchange knowledge directly with the domestic scientific community.

"The continued large number of nominations, along with a network of over 17,000 partners, shows that more and more reputable scientists and organizations around the world trust and collaborate with VinFuture in its journey to discover and celebrate scientific and technological innovations that have practical significance for humanity. This is also the motivation for VinFuture to continue steadfastly pursuing rigorous, transparent evaluation standards and a vision of connecting global intelligence for a better future for everyone," shared Dr. Le Thai Ha, Executive Director of the VinFuture Foundation.

Following the nomination round, the Preliminary Judging Panel will proceed to evaluate and select the most outstanding projects to advance to the final judging round of the VinFuture Awards Council, expected to last until early September 2026. All submissions will be assessed through a multi-layered process with strict international standards to ensure the highest level of scientific rigor, fairness, and transparency.

The core evaluation criteria include: the level of technological advancement, the positive impact on people's lives, as well as the scale and sustainability of the project.

After six years, the VinFuture Award has established its position and prestige on the global science and technology map. Many VinFuture Award winners have gone on to be honored at top-tier international science awards such as the Nobel Prize, the Queen Elizabeth II Award for Engineering, and the Breakthrough Award, demonstrating VinFuture's ability to identify early works of fundamental value for the future of humanity.

Beyond celebrating groundbreaking inventions, VinFuture has become a focal point of knowledge, collaboration, and a desire to serve humanity. After six seasons, VinFuture is contributing to shaping a more open, connected, and inspiring scientific ecosystem, making Vietnam an important destination on the global innovation map.
