The Director of the Hanoi City Police Department was awarded the First Class Order of Merit.

On July 8th, the Party Committee of the Central Public Security Department and the Ministry of Public Security held a conference to review the work of the Public Security forces in the first six months of 2024. The conference aimed to assess the situation and results of various aspects of work during this period, and to identify key tasks and solutions to successfully achieve the goals, requirements, and tasks of the People's Public Security force in 2024.

General To Lam – Member of the Political Bureau, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Chairman of the National Defense and Security Council, Commander-in-Chief of the People's Armed Forces, attended and delivered a keynote speech.

President To Lam delivered a speech at the conference.

In recognition of their exceptionally outstanding achievements in combat, combat support, building the People's Public Security force, maintaining political security, and protecting the Fatherland, the President awarded medals to 16 collectives and individuals; the Prime Minister awarded the title of National Emulation Soldier to 3 individuals.

President To Lam awarded the Third-Class Military Merit Order to Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam – former Central Committee member and former Deputy Minister of Public Security; the First-Class Order of National Defense to Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To – Central Committee member and Deputy Minister of Public Security; and the First-Class Order of Combat Merit to Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung – Central Committee member and Deputy Minister of Public Security, and Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long – Deputy Minister of Public Security.

The President also awarded the First Class Order of Merit to Lieutenant General Nguyen Hai Trung – Director of the Hanoi City Police; Major General Nguyen Ngoc Lam – Director of the Economic Police Department; Major General Dinh Van Noi – Director of the Quang Ninh Provincial Police; and Colonel Bui Quang Binh – Director of the Hai Duong Provincial Police.

President To Lam awarded the Second Class Military Merit Order to the Lam Dong Provincial Police; Lieutenant General Duong Thanh Ha - former Director of the Foreign Security Department; Lieutenant General Tran Hai Quan - Commander of the Guard Command; Major General Nguyen Duc Bang - former Deputy Director of the Foreign Security Department; Colonel Nguyen Huu Manh - Director of the Nam Dinh Provincial Police; and Colonel Nguyen Thanh Long - Deputy Director of the Hanoi City Police.

President To Lam awarded the Order of Military Merit and the Order of National Defense to collectives and individuals who have achieved outstanding results in combat and combat support, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.
