Previously, the People's Committee of Thai Binh province announced an inspection of the implementation of policies, laws, assigned tasks, and powers of the Department of Education and Training, the Director of the Department of Education and Training, and related organizations and individuals in organizing the entrance examination for grade 10 high school in the 2024-2025 school year in Thai Binh province.

Initial findings indicate that the Head of the Examination Steering Committee and the Secretariat failed to comply with regulations during the process of reviewing essay exam papers, leading to the incorrect announcement of the total admission scores for 1,589 candidates, incorrect admission cutoff scores for the first round of 4 out of 12 specialized classes under the Specialized High School Admissions Council and 11 out of 29 Admissions Councils of general high schools, and incorrect admission results for 510 candidates.

The inspection team pointed out that the Head of the Secretariat and related individuals in the Secretariat did not fully fulfill their responsibilities in performing their duties. The Head of the Examination Steering Committee lacked responsibility, failed to inspect and supervise, and did not promptly report any unusual incidents during the examination to the Provincial People's Committee.

During the process of reviewing the essay exam papers, the provincial inspectors determined that the responsibility lay with the civil servants and officials of the Secretariat for failing to perform their assigned duties and responsibilities during the examination.
