At the mass, the parishioners reviewed the life of the late Pope Francis. The late Pope had difficult times in his life, but he was resilient enough to overcome them. His life was simple, but he always thought about the fate of the little ones around the world

Also at the prayer mass, the Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee expressed his deep condolences for the great loss of the church; and emphasized that during his tenure as Pope, Pope Francis left many marks in his efforts to promote peace among nations. He is a shining example of humility, compassion and always acts for the poor, the disadvantaged, for the environment and a better world. His contributions are not only of profound significance to the Catholic Church, but also of great human value.

Pope Francis has always paid special attention to the country and people of Vietnam. He has repeatedly sent wishes of peace to the Vietnamese people, encouraged Catholics to live a “good life and a good religion” and to strengthen and develop the good relationship between the Holy See and the State of Vietnam.

The Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee hopes that the Bishop, priests, monks and Catholics of Hai Duong will continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, attachment to the nation, live a "good life, good religion", and join hands to build the homeland and country to become increasingly rich, strong and civilized.

Pope Francis was the 266th Pope of the Roman Catholic Church. He died on April 21 at the age of 88. His body lay in state in St. Peter's Basilica for three days for people to pay their respects.
