Thang Long Project Management Board is gathering machinery and equipment to prepare for the construction of an overpass at the junction between National Highway 1A and Phan Thiet - Dau Giay Expressway.

In mid-June, the Thang Long Project Management Board is gathering equipment and machinery to prepare for the construction of an overpass at the junction between National Highway 1A and Phan Thiet - Dau Giay Expressway (km 14). This is a very important junction to reduce traffic congestion and reduce traffic accidents because on weekends, thousands of cars from the southern provinces flock to Phan Thiet for tourism, so the turnoff is always in a state of traffic jam, sometimes cars are parked for kilometers. Mr. Nguyen Van Ngoc - a driver transporting passengers from Ho Chi Minh City said: On June 17, seeing the construction unit gathering equipment to prepare for the construction of an overpass at Ba Bau section, we were very happy. For the past 2 years, when the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay Expressway was built, I have brought many passengers from the southern provinces and international tourists to Binh Thuan, 2-4 trips per week, but when the Ham Kiem - National Highway 1A (Ba Bau) junction is very inconvenient because sometimes there is a traffic jam and we have to wait for an hour. Therefore, when the overpass was built, not only Binh Thuan people but also many people in the southern provinces were very excited, expecting that the time to travel on the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway to Tien Thanh, Mui Ne would be faster, without traffic jams and traffic safety...

The construction of an overpass at the Ham Kiem - National Highway 1A expressway connection point is one of hundreds of good news for the people because for many years now, almost every year Binh Thuan has had a key road or bridge of the province inaugurated and put into operation. The number of roads and bridges put into operation is increasing, helping Binh Thuan's transport infrastructure system to gradually be completed and promoted effectively. Currently, Binh Thuan's external transport system is based on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet, Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressways, National Highway 1A, National Highway 55 and National Highway 28 and National Highway 28B with a total length of 672 km and the coastal axis road Hoa Thang - Hoa Phu section, the road from Hung Vuong bridge to DT.706B (belonging to the Mui Ne - Phu Hai section), DT 719 road, part of 719 B road. Currently, the Phan Thiet - Ke Ga phase 2 (DT.719B) section, and Tan Hai - Hon Lan are being constructed...

Regarding internal traffic, the whole province has about 650 km of provincial roads, 536 km of district roads, 1,967.34 km of communal roads, 887.86 km of urban roads, 2,500 km of rural roads, 48.65 km of specialized roads creating a road network that can go to inter-villages, inter-communes, and inter-regions in the province. For some important provincial roads, performing the role of external traffic such as: DT.720, DT.766, DT.712, DT.714... have also been gradually invested in and completed, regularly maintained, meeting the needs of travel, transporting goods - agricultural and forestry products, changing the face of the countryside and contributing to promoting the socio -economic development of the province. In Phan Thiet, the tourist center has been gradually completed over the years to suit the scale of the city and at the same time contributed to the renovation and beautification of the urban landscape such as Le Duan and Hung Vuong routes, the road from Hung Vuong bridge to DT.706B road, the road to Phan Thiet airport, So Muoi bridge, repairing Duc Thanh bridge, Ke bridge...

The effort to complete the road traffic infrastructure to contribute to promoting socio-economic development, especially in the three main pillars of industrial economy, tourism and high-tech agriculture is a strategy that Binh Thuan has pursued for many years and has achieved positive results...
