The voluntary blood donation movement in Mong Cai City has been constantly developing in recent times, attracting the enthusiastic participation of many people from all walks of life. Most recently, in early June, the city organized the second voluntary blood donation campaign in 2025 and honored outstanding blood donors. With the message "Donate blood - Give life"; "Red drops at the frontier", the program received about 600 units of blood. Thereby, promoting and mobilizing all healthy people to actively participate in voluntary blood donation, meeting the blood needs for emergency and patient treatment.
Previously, in March, the city organized the first voluntary blood donation campaign in 2025. With the message "Donate blood - Give life"; "Donate blood in early spring - Multiply happiness"... the program attracted over 1,000 volunteers and blood donors across the city. Many of them donated blood many times; collected over 600 units of blood.
At the voluntary blood donation campaigns in 2025, reporters met many familiar faces who actively responded to the voluntary blood donation movement, such as Mr. Nguyen Duy Khanh, Secretary of the Vinh Trung Commune Party Committee, who donated blood 17 times, Mr. Truong Hong Duc (Provincial Police) who donated blood 20 times, or the family of Ms. Ta Thi Tinh, a teacher at Ka Long Primary School.
Ms. Ta Thi Tinh said: I have been donating blood for 7 years. This year, my husband and daughter and I donated blood. My family wantsto educate and spread to our children the love and sharing for the sick, or those less fortunate than us. I think that having the health to donate blood to save people is also a contribution to spreading love, joining hands to build a more humane and better society.
It can be seen that the voluntary blood donation movement in recent times has been directed by the Party Committee and the government of Mong Cai City to do a good job of propaganda, mobilizing the participation of the entire political system, the joint efforts of the business community, the active participation of collectives, agencies, units, cadres, civil servants, employees, workers and people in the area. Many large-scale blood donation campaigns and events have been welcomed and strongly responded to by all classes of people. Thereby affirming the active participation of the entire political system, truly spreading widely in the community, with profound humanitarian and humane meaning.
