In the early years of education, Ms. Nguyen Thi My Linh, a teacher at An Dan Kindergarten (Tuy An Bac commune), has spent nearly 8 years working with children. In the first years of teaching, the biggest difficulty was adapting to the pressure of taking care of many children, each with their own personality. But the more she worked, the more she realized that: to love the job, one must first be patient and have unconditional love. To make each lesson more lively, Ms. My Linh personally made toys from recycled materials, creating close and fun experiential lessons. For her, simple happiness is clear eyes, children babbling to call her, or the moment of watching the children change every day.

"In the journey of teaching and training people, there are still many examples of teachers who are wholeheartedly devoted to students in many regions. I always appreciate the examples of teachers who are silently contributing in all regions of the province. It is the love for the profession and students that helps teachers maintain the flame of passion, overcome pressure, innovate methods and create positive changes in the quality of education . I believe that every teacher deeply understands the role, responsibility and the two sacred words "teacher" that society loves. It is not only a profession, but also a mission" - Director of the Department of Education and Training . |
For over 22 years in the classroom, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tram, a Biology teacher at Nguyen Thi Dinh Secondary School (Ia Rve Commune), has never considered maintaining student numbers as a simple task, but rather a challenging "battle". At the school in the border area, 140 km from the provincial center, many students easily drop out, and many parents hesitate to let their children continue going to school.
Countless times, Ms. Tram and her colleagues traveled to each village, knocking on each door, persistently persuading parents. The hardship was not only due to the long distance, but also the feeling of loneliness when each year, teachers left after 5 years of work. “There was a time when I also wanted to change schools. But seeing my new colleagues struggling to get used to the difficult area, I felt sorry for them. I was used to it, so I decided to stay,” Ms. Tram shared. Her decision to stay was also her way of keeping the passion for her profession alive and giving her students the confidence to continue going to school.
If in poor areas, teachers stick to the school because of love, then at Luong Van Chanh High School for the Gifted (Tuy Hoa Ward), the passion for the profession is nurtured by knowledge and passion for research. For Mr. Huynh Tan Chau, the school's principal, 33 years of work are as many years devoted to training excellent students in Mathematics and guiding students in scientific and technical research.
Generations of students taught and guided by him have won many national and international prizes, many of them have become professors, doctors, and leading experts in the field at home and abroad. In the 2024-2025 school year alone, the school's 11th grade Math team, directly trained by him, won 5 national prizes, 6 national Math Olympiads for students and 3 April 30th Olympic medals. In the provincial excellent student competition, the Math team won 100% of the prizes, including 4 first prizes, 12 second prizes, and 4 third prizes.

According to Mr. Huynh Tan Chau, a teacher who wants to inspire must be very good at his profession and always strive to improve himself. “There are tests that students cannot do, teachers must be determined to solve in the shortest time, even losing sleep. Only by doing so will students trust him, and parents and colleagues will acknowledge him,” Mr. Huynh Tan Chau shared.
At Nguyen Van Troi Primary School (Dak Lieng Commune), Ms. Dang Ngoc Anh has found familiar initiatives to help ethnic minority students become more confident in Vietnamese. Realizing that many students are still shy when communicating, she not only created many teaching methods to attract students but also built a dynamic class committee to lead and organize flexible learning activities. Thanks to that, the class became more lively, students were more proactive in exchanging and discussing; and their Vietnamese language skills were also significantly improved.
On Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20), when beautiful bouquets of flowers are presented, society also takes a moment to express gratitude to those who silently keep the teaching profession alive day by day. Their love for the profession not only illuminates each lesson, but also spreads throughout the community with their knowledge, personality and dedication.
