The Van Ban temporary detention camp is helping local residents carry construction materials to ensure the project stays on schedule.

In mid-December 2025, in Van Ban commune, one of the areas heavily affected by the remnants of Typhoon No. 10, a bustling atmosphere of work began early in the morning. The Van Ban commune police, in coordination with Detention Center No. 1 - Van Ban Detention Center, Lao Cai Provincial Police, mobilized 20 officers and soldiers along with youth union members to directly assist three households in rebuilding and repairing their homes damaged by the natural disaster. From transporting materials and erecting house frames to roofing and reinforcing walls, the forces worked continuously and urgently, hoping to help the people quickly have safe homes and stable lives.

The Van Ban commune police, in coordination with the Van Ban temporary detention center, provided labor assistance to the local people to help them quickly complete their houses before Tet (Lunar New Year).

Implementing the "Quang Trung Campaign," the Van Ban Commune Police identified assisting the people in rebuilding and repairing their homes after the natural disaster as an extremely urgent task. Sharing his thoughts on the urgent efforts to support the people in overcoming the consequences of the disaster, Lieutenant Colonel Trinh Xuan Hiep, Head of the Van Ban Commune Police, said: "We have proactively coordinated with relevant units and mobilized maximum resources to help households quickly complete their homes, stabilize their lives, and feel secure in their work and production. The goal is to help people have safe and sturdy housing before the Lunar New Year, gradually overcoming the difficulties after the storm."

From the projects being urgently completed in Van Ban, that spirit of responsibility and sharing continues to spread to neighboring areas. In areas still bearing the marks of storms and floods, local police forces continue to stay on the ground every day, standing side-by-side with the people in the journey of rebuilding homes after the natural disaster.

The police of Muong Bo commune, along with local security forces, provided labor to help re-roof houses for local residents.

That spirit continues to be clearly demonstrated in Muong Bo commune, where the Nam Mat resettlement area is being rapidly completed. More than 20 commune police officers and soldiers, along with local security forces and militia, have been closely monitoring the construction site, assisting residents in transporting materials, roofing, plastering, leveling the ground, and clearing drainage ditches buried by mud and rocks after storms.

Looking at his newly completed house, Mr. Giang A Du, residing in Suoi Thau Mong village, Muong Bo commune, emotionally shared: "My family suffered heavy losses after typhoon No. 10, and our old house was no longer safe. Thanks to the government's care in arranging resettlement and the direct assistance from the commune's police officers and military forces in building, roofing, and transporting materials, my family is very happy. Thanks to their dedicated help, our new house is almost finished, providing us with a stable place to live and work in peace for the long term."

From homes that were once severely damaged and no longer safe, new homes are gradually being built, bringing hope and peace of mind to families affected by natural disasters.

Not only in Muong Bo, the spirit of working together to help people after the storm continues to be maintained in many other localities. In each place, with different conditions and circumstances, the common point is the proactive, decisive and responsible spirit of the local police force towards the people.

The "Quang Trung Campaign" not only served to support disaster relief efforts but also reaffirmed the pivotal role of the People's Public Security Force in public relations work and building a solid people's security posture from the grassroots level. From the gradually restored homes after the storm, the people's trust in the Public Security Force continues to be strengthened and spread through their dedication, responsibility, and the spirit of "Serving the People."
