Google confirms the Pixel Fold foldable phone.

According to The Verge , although Google hasn't revealed any specifications for the Pixel Fold, a short teaser video shows that it has a book-like folding design similar to Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold models. The camera bar on the back is similar to recent Pixel devices.

A CNBC report from April stated that the Pixel Fold would have a 5.8-inch outer screen when folded, and a 7.6-inch inner screen when unfolded into tablet mode. The report also indicated that the device would come with a Google Tensor G2 chip, weigh 283 grams, and have the "most durable hinge on a foldable device," with a price tag exceeding $1,700. This price is lower than Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold4, which is priced at $1,799.

Regarding battery life, rumors suggest the Pixel Fold will last up to 24 hours with normal use and 72 hours with Extreme Battery Saver mode enabled.

In reality, the Pixel Fold's arrival has been slower than initially predicted, which suggested the device would be unveiled at Google I/O 2022. This stems from Google shifting its focus to guiding Android developers to ensure their apps work well on foldable devices and larger screens before introducing foldable phones to users.
