The year 2025 will mark a historic milestone for Hanoi’s tourism industry, with the capital welcoming 30.94 million visitors in 11 months, bringing in an estimated total revenue of VND120.6 trillion. These figures not only surpass the pre-pandemic period but also demonstrate the growing appeal of the city of a thousand years of culture. So what creates this special appeal?

The attraction of new experiences
Not only relying on existing heritage values, Hanoi has proactively renewed itself with a series of creative tourism products, especially night experience tours. Programs such as the tour “Ngoc Son - Mysterious Night” or “Museum Night” have brought a different, more magical perspective to familiar landmarks.
In addition, cultural and heritage spaces are breathed new life, attracting a large number of domestic and foreign tourists to explore and check-in, especially in suburban areas such as Ba Vi.
Special festivals all year round
Cultural events and festivals organized regularly and professionally have become important highlights. Major events such as the 2025 Hanoi Ao Dai Festival, the 3rd Hanoi Autumn Festival, or the Kanagawa Festival have contributed to promoting the image of a friendly, rich in identity and always vibrant capital.
Infrastructure ready to welcome tourists
To meet the surge in visitors, Hanoi's accommodation system has been carefully prepared. The city currently has 3,761 accommodation establishments with more than 71,000 rooms, ensuring diverse service quality for all types of visitors. In November, the average room occupancy rate of hotels reached 73.4%, an impressive figure showing the vitality of the market.
Orientation for sustainable development
The capital’s tourism industry is not only focusing on immediate figures but also on long-term development. In the last month of the year, the city will focus on approving the Project to innovate the management model of the Huong Son Special National Relic Site (Huong Pagoda), an important step to preserve and promote heritage values.
In addition, events such as the Food Festival and craft village tourism will continue to be held, while new products such as agricultural tourism, community tourism and golf tourism will also be focused on development, promising to bring more unique experiences to visitors in the future.
