On May 23rd, the Hanoi Department of Construction announced that, in order to carry out the project to renovate and upgrade the lighting system on Vo Van Kiet road, located in the communes of Vinh Thanh, Thien Loc, Phuc Thinh, Quang Minh, and Noi Bai, the Department of Construction has approved the traffic management plan for Vo Van Kiet road (from Thang Long Bridge to the intersection with National Highway 2).
Specifically, in phase 1, the project involves repairing and maintaining the lighting system along the left-hand median strip of Vo Van Kiet Street (towards the intersection with National Highway 2), and installing a movable barrier for one lane of traffic along the left-hand median strip (towards the intersection with National Highway 2), with a width of 3.5m, for the purpose of repairing and maintaining the lighting system.
Construction will be carried out in segments of 50-70m in length. Construction of the next segment will only begin after the removal of existing road barriers to ensure the safety of traffic. The construction unit is only permitted to work during off-peak hours in the morning and afternoon, and is prohibited from working during peak hours (6:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM daily) as stipulated by the Hanoi People's Committee. Construction vehicles will be parked outside the project area to minimize traffic congestion.
Phase 2 involves the construction, repair, and maintenance of the lighting system along the right-hand guardrail of Vo Van Kiet Street (towards the intersection with National Highway 2), and the installation of movable barriers across the entire right-hand motorcycle lane of Vo Van Kiet Street (towards the intersection with National Highway 2). Motorcycles and non-motorized vehicles will use the lane designated for automobiles within the barrier area. After the barrier area ends, motorcycles and non-motorized vehicles will continue to use the road section according to the existing traffic organization plan.
Phase 3 involves the construction, repair, and maintenance of the lighting system along the right-hand guardrail of Vo Van Kiet Street (towards Thang Long Bridge), and the installation of movable barriers across the entire right-hand motorcycle lane of Vo Van Kiet Street (towards Thang Long Bridge). Motorcycles and non-motorized vehicles will use the lane designated for automobiles within the barrier area. After the barrier area ends, motorcycles and non-motorized vehicles will continue to use the road section according to the existing traffic organization plan.
For phases 2 and 3, construction will be carried out in segments of 30-50m in length. Construction of the next segment will only begin after the removal of existing road barriers to ensure the safety of traffic. The construction unit is only permitted to work from 10 PM the previous day to 5 AM the following day; before 5 AM, construction vehicles must be parked outside the project area to minimize traffic congestion. The project will be implemented from May 26th to August 26th.
On the same day, the Hanoi Department of Construction further announced that, in order to carry out the project to renovate and upgrade the lighting system on Truong Sa roads in Vinh Thanh and Dong Anh communes, the Department of Construction has approved the traffic management plan on Truong Sa and Bac Thang Long-Vuc De roads.
Specifically, on Truong Sa Street (from the Vinh Ngoc Bridge intersection to Dong Tru Bridge): Phase 1 involves the repair and maintenance of the lighting system along the right-hand sidewalk of Truong Sa Street (towards Dong Tru Bridge). A movable barrier will be erected on the right-hand motorbike lane of Truong Sa Street (towards Dong Tru Bridge), with a barrier width of 3m, leaving approximately 2m of space for vehicles to pass through the barrier area during the repair and maintenance of the lighting system.
Phase 2 involves the construction, repair, and maintenance of the lighting system along the right-hand sidewalk of Truong Sa Street (towards Vinh Ngoc Bridge). A movable barrier will be erected on the right-hand motorbike lane of Truong Sa Street (towards Vinh Ngoc Bridge), with a barrier width of 3.0 m. The remaining motorbike lane width will be approximately 2 m to allow vehicles to pass through the barrier area during the construction, repair, and maintenance of the lighting system.
Phase 3 involves the construction, repair, and maintenance of the lighting system on the median strip of Truong Sa Street. A movable barrier will be erected on one lane of traffic on the right side adjacent to the median strip (towards Vinh Ngoc Bridge), with a barrier width of 3.5m. Traffic will be organized for vehicles to use the remaining two lanes, each 7m wide, to allow vehicles to pass through the barrier area during the construction, repair, and maintenance of the lighting system.
Construction units will work in segments of 30-50 meters in length. Construction of the next segment will only begin after the removal of existing road barriers to ensure the safety of traffic. Furthermore, construction units are only permitted to work during off-peak hours in the morning and afternoon, and are prohibited from working during peak hours (6-9 am and 4-7:30 pm) daily, as stipulated by the Hanoi People's Committee. Construction vehicles will be parked outside the project's designated route to minimize traffic congestion.
Additionally, for the construction, repair, and maintenance of the 6 km road lighting system (Bac Thang Long-Vuc De road), a movable barrier will be erected along one lane adjacent to the right-hand sidewalk of the Bac Thang Long-Vuc De road (towards the Truong Sa intersection), with a barrier width of 3m. The remaining lane will be approximately 7m wide to allow vehicles to pass through the barrier area during the construction, repair, and maintenance of the lighting system.
Regarding the construction, repair, and maintenance of the lighting system on the Dong Tru overpass on Hoang Sa Street: Phase 1 involves the construction, repair, and maintenance of the lighting system on the right lane of the Dong Tru overpass on Hoang Sa Street (towards the city center). Movable barriers will be erected around the entire right-hand motorcycle lane of the Dong Tru overpass (towards the city center) for the construction, repair, and maintenance of the lighting system. Motorcycles and non-motorized vehicles will use the lane designated for automobiles within the barrier area; after the barrier area ends, motorcycles and non-motorized vehicles will continue to use the road according to the existing traffic organization plan.
Phase 2 involves the construction, repair, and maintenance of the lighting system on the right lane of the Dong Tru overpass on Hoang Sa Street (towards Long Bien). Movable barriers will be erected around the entire right lane of the Dong Tru overpass (towards Long Bien) for the construction, repair, and maintenance of the lighting system. Motorcycles and non-motorized vehicles will use the lane designated for automobiles within the barrier area; beyond the barrier area, motorcycles and non-motorized vehicles will continue to use the road according to the existing traffic organization plan.
Construction will be carried out in segments of 20-30m in length. Construction of the next segment will only begin after the existing road barriers are removed to ensure the safety of traffic. The construction unit is only permitted to work from 10 PM the previous day to 5 AM the following day; before 5 AM, construction vehicles must be parked outside the project area to minimize traffic congestion. The project will be implemented from May 23rd to August 23rd.
