Ha Tinh has a new Provincial Party Secretary.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Lam, Deputy Minister of Transport (formerly the Ministry of Construction after the merger), has been appointed by the Politburo to the position of Secretary of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

This afternoon, March 1st, the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the Politburo 's decision on personnel matters. Mr. Le Minh Hung, member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, and Head of the Central Organization Department, chaired the conference.

Also attending the conference were: Mr. Do Trong Hung, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee; Mr. Tran Hong Minh, Minister of Construction; Mr. Hoang Trung Dung, Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Magazine, along with key leaders of Ha Tinh province, the Ministry of Construction, and Military Region IV.

Le Minh Hung, member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, and Head of the Central Organization Department, presented the decision and flowers to Mr. Nguyen Duy Lam.

The conference announced the Politburo's decision to transfer, assign, and appoint Mr. Nguyen Duy Lam, Deputy Minister of Transport, to the Executive Committee and Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and to hold the position of Secretary of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Minh Hung affirmed that Comrade Nguyen Duy Lam has received basic training, has held many positions in the Ministry of Transport; he is a capable and experienced official who always excellently fulfills his assigned tasks, and has been entrusted by the Politburo with the position of Secretary of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee.

Le Minh Hung suggested that the Executive Committee of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee, leaders of departments and localities in the province should promote the spirit of solidarity, unity, and cooperation, sharing and supporting Comrade Nguyen Duy Lam to strive to complete his tasks at the highest level, bringing Ha Tinh to develop even more strongly and sustainably in the future.

In his acceptance speech, the new Secretary of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee, Nguyen Duy Lam, expressed his deep gratitude to General Secretary To Lam, the Politburo, the Secretariat, and the Central Organization Department for entrusting him with this new responsibility. He also thanked the comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Executive Committee, and the Party Committee of Ha Tinh province for their assistance and support in fulfilling his duties in his new position.

Newly elected Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duy Lam pledged to always strive his best, be dedicated and committed, uphold the pioneering and exemplary spirit, maintain the Party's principles, match words with actions, and play the role of a unifying force. Together with the Standing Committee, the Executive Committee, and the people of the province, he is determined to successfully achieve the goals and targets set forth in the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, while also preparing well and successfully organizing the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Lam was born in 1972 in Dong Tien commune, Dong Hy district, Thai Nguyen province. He holds a Master's degree in Engineering and is a Civil Engineer specializing in bridge and tunnel construction. Before becoming Secretary of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee, he held various positions including Deputy Director and then Director of the Planning and Investment Department, Director of the Road Construction Management Department (Vietnam Road Administration), and Director of the Construction Management and Quality Control Department for Transportation Projects.

In August 2021, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Transport.
