After long journeys, many members couldn't hide their joy at setting foot for the first time in a land considered one of the cradles of Cham culture in the country. Handshakes, greetings in the Cham language, and hearty laughter quickly erased the distance between groups from different localities.
Greeting everyone with the Cham language meaning "wishing everyone peace," Arisa Mach, a member of the Tay Ninh Provincial Folk Art Troupe, shared his feelings about participating in the festival for the first time: "I am very excited. Before, I only saw information about the festival through media channels, but today, being present in person, I see how magnificent the scale is. All the troupes are actively practicing, and everyone wants to bring the most unique aspects of their locality to introduce to everyone. The Tay Ninh troupe hopes to bring to the festival singing and dancing performances showcasing the beauty of traditional culture along with the characteristic products and cakes of the locality."

That joyful atmosphere was also evident on the faces of the Gia Lai delegation members. Ms. Thu Hue said that the greatest joy for the delegation was being able to bring the colors and flag of their ethnic group to interact with the Cham people throughout the country. The members of the delegation had prepared very carefully for the festival. This was an opportunity to introduce the beautiful customs, traditions, and cultural life of the Cham Hroi people to friends near and far.

More than just a cultural exchange event, the festival is also a chance for the younger generation to learn more about the traditional values of their nation. For Ms. Mang Thi Trinh, a member of the Dak Lak delegation, participating in the festival means learning and continuing the tradition. "The values left by our ancestors are very precious assets. I want to learn more so that I can pass them on to the younger generation. The members of the delegation have spent a lot of time practicing. Everyone wants to contribute to introducing their ethnic identity to a wider audience of people and tourists," she said.
