During the second leg of the Southeast Asian Cup semi-final match between CAHN and PSM Makassar, many spectators, even those with tickets, were unable to enter the stadium. According to Tri Thức – Znews, both stands A and B were packed. The match started at 7:30 PM, but even at 8 PM, many spectators were still queuing at gate A7.
Due to the large number of spectators, the match organizers had to open additional seats in Stand C. However, the seating in Stand C was insufficient to meet the demand. When it started to rain, many spectators braved the rain and stood in the area between Stands A and C.
According to Tri Thuc – Znews' investigation, Hang Day Stadium has a capacity of nearly 14,000 seats, but CAHN issued 30,000 tickets. Meanwhile, CAHN was the only representative from Vietnam participating in the semi-finals of the tournament, creating a huge attraction. This led to many spectators, despite having tickets, being unable to enter the stadium.
