According to data from Planespotters.net as of November 25th, Vietnam Airlines Group currently owns 101 aircraft, Vietjet operates 97 aircraft, Bamboo Airways has 7 aircraft, Vietravel Airlines has 3 aircraft, and Sun PhuQuoc Airways has increased its fleet to 4 aircraft.
Sun PhuQuoc Airways, a subsidiary of Sun Group , put the Airbus A321NX into operation on November 24th.
According to the airline, the addition of aircraft comes at the right time as the aviation and tourism markets enter their peak season, allowing the airline to proactively increase frequency and ensure service quality during the Christmas, New Year, and Lunar New Year 2026 periods.
Newcomer Sun PhuQuoc Airways launched its first commercial flight on November 1st, operating its first three domestic routes: Phu Quoc - Hanoi, Phu Quoc - Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang - Phu Quoc. However, the Da Nang - Phu Quoc route was subsequently suspended.
According to the airline's website, tickets for this route will only go on sale in March 2026, with an average price of 6-6.8 million VND for a round trip.
According to the plan, from March 2026, the airline will open two new routes: Da Nang - Phu Quoc and Nha Trang - Phu Quoc, while also expanding its international flight network to South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong (China), and India.

The expansion of the flight network is expected to contribute to strengthening connectivity for Phu Quoc, especially as the island city has been chosen to host APEC 2027, with the participation of 10,000-12,000 delegates from 21 economies.
Earlier on November 18th, Sun Group took over the operation of Phu Quoc International Airport infrastructure, aiming to improve service quality and operational capacity, creating an important foundation for expanding the flight network and preparing for APEC 2027.
In the region, Vietjet Thailand received its first Boeing 737-8 on November 23rd, part of an order for 200 aircraft worth $32 billion.
The aircraft was delivered at Suvarnabhumi Airport and will soon be put into commercial operation on the Bangkok - Chiang Mai route, before operating the Bangkok - Cam Ranh international route in December.
Bamboo Airways is urgently completing preparations to receive another aircraft, to enhance service during the peak season at the end of the year.
At the same time, Bamboo Airways plans to continue adding aircraft to increase the size of its fleet just before the Lunar New Year 2026.
