The Women's Union of My Khanh commune has just coordinated with the My Khanh Commune Youth Union (Phong Dien district) and the An Hoa Ward Youth Union (Ninh Kieu district) to organize the planting of 150 bougainvillea trees on the road of My Hoa hamlet. Ms. Van Thi My Linh, President of the Women's Union of My Khanh commune, said: "Building a green - clean - beautiful landscape is one of the key tasks that the Union focuses on implementing. Accordingly, the Women's Union of the commune focuses on integrating propaganda on environmental protection into regular meetings of clubs, branches, and groups in many diverse and rich forms". Every month, the Union mobilizes members and people to clean up the landscape, take care of ornamental plants, and collect garbage on the main roads in the area.

In 2024, the Women's Union of My Khanh commune coordinated to organize 32 campaigns to carry out environmental sanitation, take care of ornamental flowers in hamlets and plant 150 bougainvillea trees in My Loc hamlet, attracting over 1,100 female cadres and members to participate. In addition, the Women's Union of the commune is interested in maintaining and improving the quality of the models "5 yes, 3 clean", "Women participating in clean and safe production", "Women reducing the use of plastic bags and disposable plastic products" associated with the implementation of the family "5 no, 3 clean", "Bright - green - clean - safe route";...

Together with the Women's Union of My Khanh commune, the Women's Unions at all levels in Phong Dien district have implemented many effective methods to join hands in protecting the environment. In Nhon Nghia commune, environmental protection activities have been widely and regularly implemented by the Union for many years. According to Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Lam, President of the Women's Union of Nhon Nghia commune, every year, the Union develops a plan to establish models of "5 yes, 3 clean", "5 no, 3 clean" associated with the movement to build models against plastic waste to protect the environment and respond to climate change. Currently, the Union is effectively maintaining 8 models of "Women limiting the use of plastic bags and disposable plastic products", "Waste classification at source" in the hamlets. In addition, the Union regularly encourages members to use compost bins to store organic waste in daily life; coordinates with organizations to carry out many tasks to build a bright - green - clean - beautiful landscape;...

From the beginning of 2025 to now, the Women's Union of Truong Long commune has coordinated with the Party cell of Truong Phu A hamlet to clean 2km of roads; organize the collection of recycled waste from the "Waste classification at source" model in Truong Tho A hamlet to raise funds and buy 100 notebooks for disadvantaged students. In addition, the Association also maintains the activities of 16 clubs to build "5 no, 3 clean" families; 16 models to build "5 yes, 3 clean" families; the "Waste classification at source" model in Truong Tho A hamlet associated with the use of compost bins; the club of members using shopping bags to limit the use of plastic bags in Truong Thuan hamlet;...

According to Ms. Bui Thi Uyen, President of the Women's Union of Phong Dien district, the highlight in participating in environmental protection activities and spreading green lifestyle is that each Union base has selected tasks and models suitable to the characteristics and actual situation of the locality. Unions at all levels regularly organize environmental sanitation campaigns; register projects and tasks to build civilized urban areas, advanced new rural areas, and exemplary models in the locality; maintain 48 environmental protection models with 725 participating members; 26 "5 yes, 3 clean" models with 590 participating members. In 2024, all 7 Union bases will help 92 households meet the "5 no, 3 clean" criteria; bringing the total number of member households meeting the "5 no, 3 clean" criteria in the whole district to 15,377 households, reaching 95.61%.

The practical and meaningful work of the Women's Union at all levels in Phong Dien district has contributed to spreading and mobilizing the participation of cadres, members, women and people to join hands to preserve the living environment, making practical contributions to the movement of building advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas in the locality.
