Spring Journey to the Border

(Dong Nai) - Promoting the pioneering spirit of youth in the movement of remembering the source of water, caring for policy beneficiary families and those who have contributed to the revolution; supporting and encouraging people, youth and children in border areas and ethnic minority regions to celebrate the traditional Lunar New Year, on January 24, the Standing Committee of the Youth Union of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province organized a working trip to Loc Thanh border commune to implement the "Border Spring" program with many practical and meaningful activities.

During the program, the Youth Union of the Provincial People's Committee organized activities to promote life skills for students of Loc Thanh Primary and Secondary School; provided free medical examinations and medicine to approximately 200 people; and donated 270 gifts to disadvantaged people and children in the area. The Union also presented four youth projects: Border Lighting, National Flag Road, Youth Garden, and Charitable Welfare Bags. The total value of the program exceeded 200 million VND.

On this occasion, the Youth Union of the Provincial People's Committee organized a "I Love My Homeland" journey to visit historical and cultural relics in Loc Thanh commune; visit Hoa Lu International Border Gate and perform the national flag-raising ceremony at the border marker; and visit, encourage, and present Tet gifts to officers and soldiers of the Hoa Lu International Border Gate Border Guard Station.
