Attractive Bay Nui Bull Racing Festival in An Giang

The 28th Bay Nui Bull Racing Festival for the An Giang Television Cup recently took place at the bull racing ground in Tri Ton district. There were 56 pairs of bulls from localities with a large Khmer ethnic minority population in An Giang province and Giang Thanh district ( Kien Giang province) participating in the competition.

Thrilling Bay Nui bull racing festival

The Bay Nui Bull Racing Festival is a unique and one-of-a-kind agricultural festival of the Khmer ethnic minority in the Bay Nui region.

The festival not only shows the beauty of traditional culture imbued with humanity, but is also a meaningful sports and entertainment playground for Khmer farmers in the villages and hamlets after hours of hard work in the fields.

After 27 times of organization, Bay Nui Bull Racing Festival has become a unique cultural feature of the Bay Nui community, attracting the attention of tourists, creating an attractive tourism product for Bay Nui region, An Giang province.

The pair of oxen with number 42 of Mr. Chau Mene (residing in Co To town, Tri Ton district) won first prize.

Mr. Chau Mene also received the award for best ox driver.

The pair of oxen with number 25 of Mr. Nguyen Van Quyen (living in An Phu ward, Tinh Bien town) won second prize.
