Harry Kane is Manchester United's number one target in the 2023 summer transfer window. However, the English striker seems to want to seek a new challenge in a different environment.
According to The Sun, Bayern Munich has been identified as Harry Kane's preferred destination if he leaves Tottenham this summer. The Bavarian giants are also confident of securing the English striker's signature.
Specifically, Bayern are ready to spend £85 million to bring Kane to the Allianz Arena, making the English striker the most expensive signing in Bundesliga history. Previously, Lucas Hernandez's move from Atletico Madrid for £68.8 million was the most expensive German transfer.
Previously, Manchester United and Chelsea, two of England's biggest clubs, openly expressed their ambition to sign Harry Kane. However, both entered this summer's transfer window facing significant challenges.
For MU, the issues relate to the change of ownership at Old Trafford, while Chelsea faces a severe surplus crisis after spending over £600 million in the 2022/23 season alone.
