Ms. Ngoc (far right) connects and supports the livelihoods of association members.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Gai's family, residing in Phu Le village, Dan Dien commune, is a poor household. Her younger brother, who lives with her, unfortunately suffers from a mobility disability, making Ms. Gai's already difficult situation even more challenging. Not only does Ms. Ngoc always pay attention to Ms. Gai's family to provide timely assistance and support, but she also tirelessly connects with benefactors to find funding to help repair Ms. Gai's house. "I'm always happy to help members in any way I can, and I don't mind the difficulties. With the 35 million VND I managed to secure, along with the help and labor of the villagers, Ms. Gai has repaired her house, built a new kitchen, and renovated the bathroom," Ms. Ngoc said.

Speaking about the Chairwoman of the Women's Union in the commune, Ms. Le Thi Dieu from Van Ha Lang village, Dan Dien commune, couldn't help but be moved: "Ms. Ngoc is a passionate official who is always wholeheartedly dedicated to the members. Thanks to her connections and support for our livelihoods, my husband and I now have stable jobs and income. Not only did we receive support with breeding chickens, but our family also had a sturdy chicken coop built to develop our poultry farming. Knowing my difficult circumstances, with my husband ill and unable to work, and me raising three children on my own, the Women's Union of the commune has connected with and provided annual scholarships for my children."

From 2022 to June 2025, as the Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Quang Phu commune, Quang Dien district (formerly), Ms. Ngoc connected with the " Hue Hearts" Fund to support livelihoods, building 25 sturdy chicken coops for 25 poor and near-poor households, with a total value of 625 million VND. At the same time, she donated livestock to poor member households with a total value of 62 million VND. Ms. Ngoc also mobilized resources to support 7 "For Poor Women" initiatives, providing 500,000 VND per household per month; sponsored 16 orphaned children in difficult circumstances with 300,000 VND per month per child; and secured over 80 scholarships for poor and disabled students totaling over 165 million VND.

Not only does she consistently seek ways to connect and support livelihoods, helping members escape poverty and develop economically , but Ms. Ngoc has also launched the "Joining Hands to Eliminate Temporary and Dilapidated Houses" emulation movement at every local branch. To ensure the right people are helped, she directs local branches to proactively survey poor and near-poor member households with dilapidated or damaged houses to provide appropriate support. She proactively calls for and mobilizes resources from charitable organizations and individuals to support the poor, repairing 5 houses for poor and near-poor households with a total value of 175 million VND, and together with the Women's Union at all levels, building 4 shelters of love for disadvantaged women members.

“Having defined the role and responsibilities of a women's association official, I always strive to find resources to support disadvantaged members in the locality, especially in social welfare activities, job creation, income generation, and building and repairing houses for the poor and those in difficult circumstances. To achieve this, I always closely monitor the area and propose and call for resources from philanthropists,” Ms. Ngoc confided.

Ms. Ngoc stated: "After the local government was reorganized, I was fortunate to continue serving as the head of local women's affairs. Therefore, I will continue to implement and carry out the emulation movement 'Building the Vietnamese woman of the new era' in conjunction with studying and following the thoughts, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh ."

At the end of June 2025, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc was honored to be one of 42 individuals awarded a certificate of merit by the Women's Union of the city for her outstanding achievements in implementing the patriotic emulation movement in various fields during the period 2020 - 2025.
