Voluntary blood donation among workers

On June 23rd, at Sakurai Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Le Mon Industrial Park, Thanh Hoa City), the Trade Union of Nghi Son Economic Zone and Industrial Parks (KKTNS & CKCN) of the province, in coordination with the Provincial Red Cross Society, organized a "Humanitarian Blood Donation Program for Workers". Attending the program was Mr. Nguyen Minh Canh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor.

Leaders from the Provincial Labor Federation, the Provincial Economic Zone and Industrial Park Trade Union, and Sakurai Vietnam Co., Ltd. attended and encouraged the blood donation volunteers.

Over 400 volunteers, all employees of Sakurai Vietnam Co., Ltd., have registered to participate in voluntary blood donation.

To facilitate blood donation, the Organizing Committee divided the process into time slots, each spaced approximately 30 minutes apart, allowing workers time to complete procedures such as consultation, screening to ensure safety during blood donation, and registering by scanning a QR code to participate in blood donation.

Blood donation among workers is an annual activity organized by the Trade Union of Thanh Hoa Province's Economic Zones and Industrial Parks to encourage union members and workers who are healthy enough to actively participate in voluntary blood donation to provide sufficient blood for emergency care and treatment of patients.

Through the Blood Donation Program for Workers, the Standing Committee of the Trade Union of the Southern Economic Zone and Industrial Parks hopes that affiliated grassroots trade unions will proactively and actively coordinate with enterprise leaders to implement blood donation activities with the spirit of "One drop of blood given - One life saved".
