Coach Polking: "Hanoi Police FC will win against Beijing Guoan"

(Dan Tri Newspaper) - Coach Polking affirmed that Hanoi Police FC has made the best preparations and aims to defeat Beijing Guoan (China) in the AFC Champions League Two 2025-2026.

Commenting on the return match against Beijing Guoan in Group E of the AFC Champions League Two 2025-2026 group stage, Coach Polking said: “This is a very important match. It’s almost a do-or-die game, just like the previous match where we unfortunately lost on penalties in the national cup.”

"Tomorrow will be the same because both teams have to win to advance, and the losing team will likely be eliminated. This makes the match very exciting, and we are fully focused on the game."

In the first leg away from home, Hanoi Police created numerous chances but only managed a 2-2 draw. Coach Polking affirmed that his players would do better to secure a victory when they return to their home ground.

“I believe the opponent will play a little differently with a few different players. But for us, everything remains the same. The team needs to stay focused on its own style of play. We are a team that always creates a lot of chances, and I believe Hanoi Police can do that again tomorrow.”

"Of course, Hanoi Police need to be sharper in front of goal, they need to be calm to take advantage of those opportunities and score the necessary goals. Beijing Guoan has a good defensive system, but I believe we have a strong team, capable of creating opportunities and scoring goals," said Coach Poking.

Regarding the absence of key striker Alan, coach Polking said: “Hanoi Police will be without striker Alan due to injury. This player has a top-scoring record, so his absence is a huge loss for the team.”

The match between Hanoi Police and Beijing Guoan will take place at 7:15 PM on November 27th at Hang Day Stadium, Hanoi.
