Binh Dien Hydropower Reservoir participated in flood control in the early afternoon of October 17 to increase flood prevention capacity. |
Currently, the water level of Huong Dien hydropower reservoir is at +55.48m, the flow to the lake is 504m3/s, the flow through the machine is 300m3/s (normal water level +58m); Binh Dien hydropower reservoir is +75.55m, the flow to the lake is 354m3/s, the flow through the machine is 30m3/s (normal water level +85m); Ta Trach reservoir is +38.75m, the flow to the lake is 1,000m3/s, the flow to the downstream is 246m3/s (normal water level +45m); A Luoi hydropower reservoir is +552.998m, the flow to the lake is 81m3/s, the flow to the downstream is 38m3/s, the flow through the machine is 42.9m3/s (normal water level +553m).
Water levels on the Huong and Bo rivers are at alert level I.
According to the assessment of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control, the owners of irrigation and hydropower dams have regularly updated the reservoir operation situation, provided information to the standing office, and notified localities and units to proactively respond.
In recent days, the Provincial Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Prevention and Control has issued documents directing the operation of Binh Dien reservoirs to prioritize maximum power generation through turbines; adjusting the flow rate of A Luoi hydropower reservoir and A Lin B1 hydropower reservoir (A Lin 3-A Lin B1 reservoir cluster). At the same time, there is an order to operate flood control for Huong Dien and Ta Trach reservoirs to welcome new floods.
On the afternoon of October 17, the Provincial Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Prevention and Control also issued an order to operate and regulate the Binh Dien hydropower reservoir in the upper reaches of the Huu Trach River (Huong River branch) to increase flood prevention capacity, ensuring safety of the project and downstream.
