Over the years, Lam Dong province has implemented a comprehensive ethnic policy, achieving many positive results.

Mr. Y Binh, residing in Nui hamlet, Cu Jut commune, enjoys a stable income thanks to participating in the coffee growing area code program.

In Di Linh commune, the locality is actively implementing Project 1 to support the construction of housing for poor ethnic minority households. In particular, the commune has approved a location for concentrated resettlement in the R'hang Plồi residential area, Hang Lang village, with a total area of ​​20 hectares, expected to serve 87 households with 435 people. Mr. K'Ba from Di Linh commune shared: “With stable housing, guaranteed production land and clean water, people will feel secure investing in production, educating their children, and participating in community activities.”

Meanwhile, in Cu Jut commune, Lam Dong province, the locality has effectively implemented economic models, helping people improve production efficiency and increase income. In particular, the establishment of coffee growing area codes has initially created a value chain in production, spreading effective business models to villages in the region.

Currently, the planting area code involves nearly 20 households, covering an area of ​​20 hectares. The local people mainly cultivate crops such as coffee, pepper, and fruit trees. Therefore, the successful establishment of the coffee planting area code has created a foundation for the commune to expand its scale and apply it to other economically valuable crops.

Expanding the area of ​​paddy rice cultivation helps ethnic minority households in Nam Da commune, Lam Dong province, ensure food security.

According to Mr. Ngo Quoc Phong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Cu Jut commune, the establishment of planting area codes is still quite new to many ethnic minority households. However, after two years of implementation, the people have followed the correct production process, helping to better manage and protect crops, improve the environment, and receive high praise from the collaborating unit.

Similarly, using funds from Program 1719, Tan Ha commune, Lam Ha district, Lam Dong province, has effectively addressed housing and clean water issues, helping ethnic minority households stabilize their lives. The commune is also completing several centralized water supply projects, ensuring a clean water source for its residents.

According to the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religion of Lam Dong province, in recent years, through agricultural and forestry production development projects, the province has focused on supporting people in transforming the structure of crops and livestock to those with high economic value, applying science and technology, and linking production and product consumption. Models of high-quality coffee cultivation, macadamia nuts, fruit trees, and livestock farming towards commercial production are yielding practical results.

In particular, the project addressing the shortage of residential land, housing, production land, and clean water has met the most basic and urgent needs of the people, helping them stabilize their lives. In addition, the rural road system, irrigation, electricity, schools, and health stations have also been invested in and built, breaking the isolation and low-lying status of the area, creating momentum for trade and development.

Thanks to sound policies, the poverty rate among ethnic minority households in Lam Dong province has decreased rapidly and sustainably. The appearance of rural and mountainous areas has improved significantly, and the material and spiritual lives of the people have been noticeably enhanced. Political security and social order have been maintained, and national unity has been increasingly strengthened.

According to the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Lam Dong province, in recent years, the locality has implemented many comprehensive programs and policies to develop the socio-economic conditions of ethnic minority and mountainous areas. It is estimated that by the end of 2025, the multidimensional poverty rate throughout the province will be reduced to 3.33%.
