In 2023, at Bach Mai Hospital, many advanced equipment and machinery systems were put into smooth operation, the examination and treatment process was comprehensively improved and innovated, reducing patient waiting times; many high-tech techniques, optimal diagnostic and treatment methods, and multidisciplinary collaborations were implemented synchronously, helping to save the lives of many critically ill patients.

Social work at Bach Mai Hospital contributes to improving the quality of healthcare services for patients.

In particular, social work activities in the hospital have made a significant contribution to improving the quality of medical examination and treatment through activities such as providing psychological support to patients undergoing treatment; organizing recreational activities, teaching English, and teaching drawing to child patients and patients with mental illnesses.

In 2023, the Social Work Department of Bach Mai Hospital solicited donations for meals for all family members, totaling 124.8 million VND; and received and supported 5,426 patients with serious illnesses and particularly difficult circumstances, with a total amount of nearly 15 billion VND.
