Hoa Minzy burst into tears.

On the evening of January 30th, the 2025 Green Wave Awards ceremony took place at the Hoa Binh Theater (Ho Chi Minh City), attracting a large number of artists.

This year's Green Wave Awards presented 16 award categories, including: Top 10 Most Popular Songs; Song of the Year; Phenomenal Song; Outstanding Collaboration; Arrangement and Production; Producer of the Year; Most Popular Soundtrack Song; Album of the Year; Music Video of the Year; Most Popular Radio Song; Outstanding New Face; Breakthrough Artist; Most Popular Male/Female Singer/Rapper; Male/Female Singer/Rapper of the Year; Special Award; and Achievement Award.

'North Bling' shines

The Achievement Award is given to singers/songwriters who have won the Green Wave Awards for many years, have a positive image, and have made significant contributions to the Green Wave Awards in particular and Vietnamese music in general. As a result, this prestigious award went to Hong Nhung and Quang Linh.

The list of Top 10 most popular songs is led by Bac Bling. The next names receiving awards are "Miracle," "Even If the World Ends," "Rebirth," "Frog at the Bottom of the Well," "Dancing in the Dark," "Treasure," "What Could Be More Beautiful," "Wedding Ceremony," and "Crocodile Tears."

Bac Bling achieved a resounding victory at the 2025 Green Wave Awards.

As expected, Bac Bling was once again named in the Song of the Year and Music Video of the Year categories. Previously, the song had a spectacular run, becoming a social media sensation for a long time, and the music video has now reached nearly 290 million views.

"I always thought I would make a really good music video to compensate for my vocals. It's hard to create a hit, but it seems like I've done it today. I couldn't have made 'Bac Bling' a success alone. I'm truly grateful to artist Xuan Hinh, musician Tuan Cry, and Masew," Hoa Minzy said in her acceptance speech. She also thanked the hundreds of artists who participated in filming the music video, as well as the people of Bac Ninh who supported her throughout the process.

In the Outstanding Collaboration category, Bac Bling was once again named the winner with the collaboration of Hoa Minzy, Xuan Hinh, and Tuan Cry. The work received 46.8% of the votes from the judging panel.

Overcoming many other strong contenders such as Mục hạ vô nhân, Cay, Vườn hồng, Phong nữ x Cô đôi thượng ngàn , producer Masew brought home Bắc Bling's 4th victory in the Arrangement and Production category, with 55% of the judges' votes.

"This is no longer just an award, but a huge encouragement for musicians like me," the producer shared on stage.

Bac Bling concluded his impressive run at the 38th Green Wave Awards with his sixth win, in the Most Popular Song on Radio category.

Nguyen Hung was delighted to win in 3 categories.

The "Phenomenal Song" award honored "What Could Be More Beautiful?" (Nguyen Hung). The male singer expressed surprise and emotion when he went on stage to receive the award, and did not forget to thank the audience.

The award for Favorite Soundtrack Song went to "The Miracle" (Nguyen Hung) - with 55.1% of the judges' votes. Being called to the stage to receive the award for the second time, Nguyen Hung couldn't hide his joy. It was even more special because the presenters were the duo Nhat Hoang and Ha Anh, the two main actors who starred alongside Nguyen Hung in the blockbuster "Red Rain".

Nguyen Hung was once again surprised when his name was announced as the winner of the Outstanding New Face award. He said he couldn't believe what was happening was real. "With what I have now, I will try even harder to contribute better products to the audience," the actor from "Red Rain" shared.

In the Producer of the Year category, SLIMV was named the winner for Soobin's Live Concert ALL-ROUNDER. On stage accepting the award, he said that he had worked hard over the past year and felt fortunate that his efforts and those of his team were recognized.

In the Breakthrough Singer category, the race was intense between Huong Tram, (S)TRONG Trong Hieu, Min, Phuong My Chi, and Tung Duong. Ultimately, Phuong My Chi won the award.

The special award, presented by the organizing committee, was based on factors such as trends and the most recent musical projects of the year. The winner was " Continuing the Story of Peace ," with music composed by Nguyen Van Chung.

The Green Wave 2025 event will present a variety of musical performances with diverse styles.

Overcoming strong competition, Made in Vietnam (DTAP) was honored in the Album of the Year category. "This isn't just DTAP's album, but a testament to the connection within Vietnamese music. We made this album to connect with and work with fellow artists, and to spread the spirit of Vietnamese pride," the DTAP group emotionally stated upon receiving the award.

With 1,694,530 votes, LyHan was named the winner of the Favorite Female Singer/Rapper award. Meanwhile, Quang Hung MasterD won the Favorite Male Singer/Rapper award with 9,147,250 votes.

The owner of the hit song "Tidal Wave" expressed: "This is my second time returning to the Green Wave Awards, and I feel very honored and happy. Winning this trophy today wasn't easy... The words 'thank you' and 'gratitude' aren't enough. I will try my best to contribute and create even more great music."

In the final two award categories, Male and Female Singer/Rapper of the Year , the winners were Hoa Minzy and Soobin, respectively. Their victories were considered convincing. When her name was announced, Hoa Minzy was overcome with emotion and burst into tears. On stage, she tearfully said, "Bo, I did it!"
