"Books - Knowledge - Aspiration for national development"

(DTO) This is the theme of the plan to organize the 5th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in 2026 in Dong Thap province, issued by the Provincial People's Committee on April 3rd, aiming to promote the value of books and reading culture in the community, contributing to building a spiritual and cultural life, and promoting the moral values ​​and tradition of studiousness of the nation.

Many activities are being held in Dong Thap province to celebrate the 5th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in 2026.

According to the plan, activities will take place from April 14th to May 2nd, with the peak period from April 14th to April 21st. The launching ceremony for the 2026 Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day will be held at 7:30 AM on April 15th at the Dong Thap Provincial Cultural and Event Center (No. 5, D2B Street, Dao Thanh Ward, Dong Thap Province).

In addition, activities in response to the initiative will be widely organized in schools and public libraries throughout the province.

Many competitions and contests will also be organized, such as: the "Reading Culture Ambassador" contest; drawing based on books; and a storytelling contest about books in English.

In addition, there are activities such as: thematic talks on Book Day and Reading Culture; author meet-and-greets and book introductions; thematic activities for people with disabilities, etc.
