On the morning of June 3rd, in Hanoi, Politburo member and Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien chaired a briefing meeting between the National Assembly leadership and the Standing Committee of the National Ethnic Council, the Standing Committees of the National Assembly, and the National Assembly Office on a number of key tasks for June.

According to the May work report and some key tasks for June, the agencies of the National Assembly, the National Assembly Office, and the advisory bodies of the National Assembly Party Committee have urgently implemented a large volume of work, streamlined the organizational structure; organized the implementation of 9 laws and 31 resolutions recently passed by the National Assembly, and strengthened supervision of the issuance of detailed regulations and guidelines for implementation.

In June, agencies will focus on preparing the agenda for the second session of the 16th National Assembly, meticulously preparing for the third session of the Standing Committee of the 16th National Assembly; advising on and implementing delegate affairs, personnel work, and digital transformation initiatives…

In his concluding remarks, the Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly highly appreciated the unity and consensus of the officials, civil servants, and employees of the National Assembly and the National Assembly Office in successfully completing the tasks set for May. He requested that the agencies focus on researching and continuing to advise on the issuance of model regulations for the Ethnic Council and the Committees of the National Assembly; and actively promote digital transformation.

* Later that same day, General Nguyen Trong Nghia visited and worked with the Department of Mass Mobilization, the Army Women's Committee, the People's Army Film Studio, and the Army Library under the General Political Department.

At the Department of Mass Mobilization, after hearing the unit's leaders report on the results of the tasks performed in the first five months of the year, General Nguyen Trong Nghia requested the Department of Mass Mobilization to continue to thoroughly study new understandings of the people and mass mobilization work; focusing on researching and clarifying the meaning of the ideology "The people are the foundation" in the new situation in order to provide more effective advice to the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and the General Political Department.

The comrade requested that the Women's Committee of the Army pay more attention to the training and development of female officers; take care of the material and spiritual well-being, health, and family happiness of women in the Army; and promote the role of women in digital transformation, science and technology, education, healthcare, and building a high-quality human resource base for the Army and the country.

* At the People's Army Film Studio, General Nguyen Trong Nghia acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions of the People's Army Film Studio over the years, especially documentary works about President Ho Chi Minh and films of historical value, contributing to enhancing the prestige of the Army, the General Political Department and the People's Army Film Studio, while fostering the people's trust and affection for national history... He requested the People's Army Film Studio to strengthen the training of high-quality human resources, apply new technologies, expand cooperation and professional exchanges to improve the professional level and position of the People's Army Film Studio in the national film industry.

* On the afternoon of June 3rd, in Hanoi, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Doan Anh met with the Delegation of exemplary people with meritorious services and relatives of people with meritorious services to the revolution from Nghe An province (the Delegation) on the occasion of the Delegation's visit to Hanoi, to pay respects at the Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh and to tour the National Assembly building.

At the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly affectionately extended his warmest greetings, deep affection, and best wishes for good health to the Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, wounded and sick soldiers, families of martyrs, and those who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution in Nghe An province.

The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly happily stated that, over the years, Nghe An province has always paid close attention to the material and spiritual well-being of those who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution; fully and promptly implementing the preferential policies of the Party and State for more than 62,000 people who have rendered meritorious services in the province. The movements "Paying gratitude and repaying kindness" and "Remembering the source of the water" have been widely, practically, and effectively implemented by the locality...

The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly emphasized that the Party, the State, and the National Assembly have always considered the work of "showing gratitude and repaying kindness" as a noble duty and a regular political task.

* On June 3rd, in Hanoi, Comrade Nguyen Van Quang, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party and Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, chaired a conference to review one year of implementing the three-level court model in conjunction with the operation of two-level local government.

After one year of implementing the three-tiered court model, the judicial system has basically operated stably and smoothly, without interruption in trial activities. Organizational restructuring has been carried out synchronously, and the quality of case resolution continues to improve, creating an important foundation for judicial reform and digital transformation throughout the sector. The rate of judgments and decisions overturned or amended due to subjective reasons has significantly decreased, meeting the requirements set by the National Assembly.

While highly appreciating the important and positive results achieved by the judicial sector over the past year, Comrade Nguyen Van Quang frankly pointed out some shortcomings and limitations that need to be overcome...

The comrade requested that the entire sector focus on implementing five key objectives: ensuring the smooth, synchronized, and seamless operation of the three-tiered court system integrated with the three-tiered political and government system; improving the quality and rate of case and petition resolution; ensuring real-time leadership, management, inspection, and supervision throughout the court system; improving the quality of service to the people, creating favorable conditions for citizens to access and monitor judicial activities; and quantifying the contribution of judicial activities to the socio-economic development of the locality and the country.
