Ms. Luu believes that it is a journey of continuous learning, training, and growth. “Previously, I worked in a large company as a department-level manager. My leadership, management, and operational duties were all based on administrative orders, with clear assignments and responsibilities. But when participating in the management of the residential area Party branch, I had to be skillful in 'people-mobilization' so that the people would listen, understand, and cooperate with me. Actions speak louder than words for the management of the residential area Party branch to be effective,” Ms. Luu said.
According to her, learning from President Ho Chi Minh isn't about grand gestures, but about his sincere way of life, simple lifestyle, and wholehearted dedication to the people—the consistency between words and actions. Learning from and following President Ho Chi Minh is no longer just a slogan or a superficial movement, but truly permeates daily life, becoming a positive mindset and habit in work, in life, and in daily interactions through kind deeds. Ms. Luu believes that upon retirement, while still having the strength and passion, she is determined to contribute to the community, spreading good deeds and beautiful actions so that the lives of the people in the community will increasingly develop and prosper.
As the Party branch secretary, she focused on building a united and dedicated Party branch involved in community activities, while also building and effectively promoting the role of the Fatherland Front committee, neighborhood groups, and various mass organizations, striving to excel in all aspects of community activities.
For many years in a row, Party Branch 7 has been classified as a clean, strong, and outstandingly performing Party branch, receiving commendations from the Ward Party Committee; 10 out of 10 mass organizations and residential groups have been classified as performing well or better, with 9 out of 10 units receiving commendations for outstanding performance.
As the head of the Red Cross branch, from 2016 to 2024, the branch mobilized 180 units of blood for humanitarian blood donation; and raised nearly 50 million VND to support people in Central and Northern Vietnam affected by natural disasters, storms, and floods, as well as earthquake victims in several countries. As the head of the Charity and Child Protection branch, Ms. Luu encouraged families to live happily, lovingly, and to care for their children. She proactively supported and mobilized benefactors to assist people and children in difficult circumstances, those who suffered accidents, or those with serious illnesses. She donated 10 wheelchairs to war invalids, sick soldiers, people with meritorious service to the revolution, and disabled people in difficult circumstances in the ward and neighboring wards, worth 28 million VND. As a member, Ms. Luu, along with the local Education Promotion Association, mobilized donations to organize award ceremonies for 405 outstanding students, totaling 81 million VND.
"Live a meaningful life, not only for yourself but also for the community. Be a kind person and never stop learning, because that is the most practical way to show gratitude and continue the noble ideology of President Ho Chi Minh ," Ms. Luu emphasized.
