In 2024, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) aims to enroll nearly 8,000 students through 6 admission methods. In addition, the university will offer two new majors: ArtTech (art technology) and Intelligent Control and Automation, with an enrollment target of 70 students for each major.

ArtTech is a field that combines art and technology to create unique interactive art experiences, including: Digital art, multimedia design, virtual reality (VR), artificial intelligence (AI), augmented reality (AR), NFTs, robotics art, virtual human, interactive art, real-time graphics, and generative art.
According to Dr. Dong Su Yi, Deputy Head of the Faculty of Design and Communication at UEH, this is the first time an in-depth ArtTech program has been introduced into undergraduate training in Vietnam.
The training program will feature outstanding content such as media design, film special effects, interactive design, artificial intelligence art, etc. These subjects provide in-depth knowledge, and the program also includes courses on user psychology.
"We surveyed over 100 businesses in the fields of marketing, advertising, event organization, performing arts, design, media, etc., and have grasped the job needs of this industry. Recently, the school has invested in related facilities including artificial intelligence, big data, computer graphics, visual effects, and film special effects," said Dr. Dong Su Yi.
ArtTech is a field of study that combines technology and art.
Graduates in this field can work in two areas of technology and design, such as: animators, visual artists, design specialists, information design specialists, digital artists, creative specialists, graphic designers, event designers, set designers, etc.
In addition, the school has relationships with individuals and businesses in the fields of media, gaming, XR Community, performing arts, VFX, AI art, and international businesses, who are ready to support internships and create job opportunities for graduates.
