Students in Hue City and Quang Binh Province thoroughly enjoyed participating in the fun activities and vibrant atmosphere at the booths of the 27th Thanh Nien Newspaper Exam Season Counseling event.

On March 1st and 2nd, the Exam Season Counseling program organized by Thanh Nien Newspaper took place at Hai Ba Trung High School (Hue City) and Vo Nguyen Giap Specialized High School ( Quang Binh ).

Besides following live or online updates on various channels of Thanh Nien Newspaper such as thanhnien.vn , Facebook.com/thanhnien, YouTube , and TikTok, there is another "channel" that has created an interesting highlight, attracting students: the counseling booths.

According to Thanh Nien reporters, crowds of students lined up at more than 50 booths in Hue City and Quang Binh Province to receive direct advice from consultants, get information related to admissions, experience exciting games, and receive gifts from universities and colleges.

This is my first time participating in a career counseling and guidance event.

Among the nearly 10,000 students in the two regions participating in the 2025 Exam Season Counseling Program, nearly 400 are ethnic minority students from Quang Binh Provincial Ethnic Boarding High School and Hue City Ethnic Boarding High School. This is the first time these students from mountainous areas have participated.

A Lieng Thao (12th grade, class 12/1, Hue City Ethnic Boarding High School) said that after participating in the program and receiving direct answers from the teachers in the counseling council, as well as thorough advice at the booths, many of her initial questions about career orientation, choosing a school, etc., have been somewhat resolved.

Dr. Vo Thanh Hai, Deputy Director of Duy Tan University, provided admissions information to 12th-grade students at the booth.

"With a passion for becoming a teacher, through this program I have gained a very clear understanding of the admission information of schools nationwide. I have had the opportunity to interact with students from many schools in Hue City and experience many interesting activities, which I really enjoyed," Thao said.

Ho Thi Lan Anh (12th grade, Hue City Ethnic Boarding High School) said that she and her classmates were very excited when the school announced they could participate in the exam season counseling session. "Through the program, I learned important information and new aspects of this year's exam… Especially, I was able to choose a university to pursue my passion for becoming a preschool teacher. I will try my best to get into the university of my dreams," Lan Anh confided.

EFFECTIVE BRIDGE WITH HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

Holding the "blindfold" that Duy Tan University's advisor had just given him, Bui Xuan Thien (12th grade, Dao Duy Tu High School) excitedly shared that he was very interested in information technology and had visited many booths of universities nationwide to find out more information.

"This is the first time I've participated in a large-scale exam preparation counseling event, with the presence of many colleges and universities. Amidst this lively atmosphere, I am determined to pursue my passion and become an information technology engineer in the future," Xuan Thien said.

Students had their questions answered during the Exam Season Counseling program.

On the afternoon of March 2nd, the booths at the Exam Season Counseling program held at Vo Nguyen Giap Specialized High School (Dong Hoi City, Quang Binh Province) experienced an "explosion" of activity as thousands of students crowded and lined up waiting for their turn to receive advice. The walkways around the counseling booths were "congested" due to students excitedly participating in experiential activities such as lucky draws and prize draws.

Providing direct counseling to 12th-grade students in Hue City and Quang Binh Province, Dr. Vo Thanh Hai, Deputy Director of Duy Tan University, stated that the counseling booth at the program served as an effective bridge between the school and 12th-grade students. "At the counseling booth, students had ample time to discuss and ask questions with counselors about all matters related to admissions… thereby making informed decisions about their future careers. In particular, the program was also an opportunity for graduating students to have a fun experience and create lasting memories with their friends," Dr. Vo Thanh Hai emphasized.
