Question: What are the regulations regarding the authority of the People's Council's committees in reviewing the results of supervision?

Answer: According to Article 35 of the Law on Supervisory Activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils (Law No. 121/2025/QH15), the Committees of the People's Council have the right to propose to competent agencies and individuals at the local level to amend, supplement, replace, temporarily suspend the effect, halt the implementation, or repeal part or all of legal normative documents that show signs of being contrary to the Constitution, legal normative documents of higher-level state agencies, or resolutions of the People's Council at the same level. The competent agency or individual receiving the proposal is responsible for considering and responding within 30 days from the date of receipt of the proposal.

The People's Council Committee submits proposals to competent agencies, organizations, and individuals at the local level to resolve issues related to the implementation of policies, laws, and regulations within its purview. The competent agencies, organizations, and individuals receiving the proposals are responsible for considering and responding within 15 days of receipt; in cases of force majeure or complex issues, the deadline may be longer, but not exceeding 30 days.

The Standing Committee of the People's Council decides on other matters within its authority.
