On the morning of June 4th, at the Ninh Hai commune stadium (Hoa Lu district), the Provincial Farmers' Association organized the Ninh Binh Goat Fighting Festival. This is the first year Ninh Binh has organized the Goat Fighting Festival during the Tam Coc - Trang An Golden Colors Tourism Week.

The goat fighting festival featured 16 goats from 8 districts and cities, competing in two weight categories: over 50 kg and under 50 kg. These were all healthy, leading male goats, 3 years old or older, with well-proportioned bodies, clear origins, and fully vaccinated, free from disease.
At the matches, the goat fighters provided the audience with exciting and visually stunning fights, attracting the encouragement and cheers of a large crowd.
After 14 exciting and captivating matches, the Organizing Committee awarded two first prizes to goat owners from the Nho Quan District Farmers' Association, and two second prizes and three third prizes to goat owners from the Farmers' Associations of other districts and cities in two weight categories.
After the goat fighting festival, all the fighting goats are continuously raised, cared for, trained, and bred to create healthy, fast-growing, high-quality herds of goats.
Through the goat fighting festival, the aim is to encourage the livestock farming movement, and to encourage people to be more conscious in caring for and protecting valuable goat breeds, thereby contributing to the expansion and promotion of local economic development.
