At the Provincial Multi-Purpose Gymnasium (Truong Chinh Street, Kon Tum City), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized the 2025 Provincial Expanded Dance, Line Dance, Shuffle Dance, Hip Hop, Zumba and Folk Sports Dance Competition.
The competition featured 712 athletes from 25 dance sports teams from within and outside the province (teams from outside the province included Da Nang , Hue, Nghe An, Gia Lai, and Lam Dong).
With a diverse range of competition categories, the 2025 Sports Dance Competition promises vibrant and emotional performances. The competitions are divided by age group, from children to middle-aged adults, ensuring variety and appeal.

Specifically, in Dancesport, athletes compete in two main categories: Latin (Chacha, Rumba, Jive, Samba, Paso Doble) and Standard (Waltz, Tango, Quickstep, Slow Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz); Amateur Dance features Latin and Standard dances, suitable for all ages; Shuffle Dance is youthful and vibrant with solo, duet, and group competitions for various age groups; Hip-hop features powerful and creative dance moves in both amateur and championship categories; Zumba offers excitement and fun with team competitions in both amateur and championship categories…
The 2025 Sports Dance Competition is not only a valuable artistic platform but also contributes to the development of the sports movement in the community, creating opportunities for exchange and learning among athletes. It is also one of the practical activities to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the province (March 16, 1975 - March 16, 2025) and to respond to the Month of Sports Activities for Everyone and the Olympic Run for Public Health in the province in 2025.
