Quang Tri DIY Training Equipment Competition: Where the intelligence of teachers and students shines

On the morning of November 5, at Quang Tri Vocational College (Dong Thuan ward, Quang Tri province), the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri opened the first Quang Tri province's DIY training equipment contest in 2025.

Attending the ceremony were representatives of leaders of departments, branches and sectors in the province, along with vocational training institutions, lecturers, students and pupils.

This year's contest introduces 25 homemade training devices and models from 18 vocational training institutions across the province.

Participating products focus on industry groups such as electricity - industrial sewing; agriculture ; automotive technology - welding - car driving - services - law.

Dr., Meritorious Teacher Le Thi Huong - Director of the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri province delivered the opening speech of the contest.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr. Le Thi Huong - Director of the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri province emphasized: "The contest is an opportunity to honor the creative spirit of teachers, students, and pupils, contributing to spreading the movement of making training equipment in the whole province. At the same time, it strengthens cooperation between vocational training institutions and businesses."

Within the framework of the competition, products are displayed, explained and performed live. The jury will evaluate based on criteria such as creativity, applicability and pedagogical effectiveness.

Many models and products are highly appreciated for their creativity and high applicability.

Many models and devices attract attention such as: automatic pipe welding equipment using MIG/MAG welding technology; high-tech pig breeding barn model; control and monitoring equipment for training on AWS web server; multi-function welding table device lifted by electric motor; automatic watering system model using humidity sensor using solar energy...

Students' research equipment and models demonstrate creativity.

Each device is the result of research, innovation and practical experience accumulation of teachers, technical staff and students in the teaching and learning process.

The judges scored the devices entering the competition.

The devices that win high prizes in the contest will be selected to participate in the National DIY Training Equipment Contest organized by the Ministry of Education and Training.

Not only an intellectual playground, the contest contributes to promoting the creative emulation movement, the spirit of making equipment for teaching, aiming to improve the quality of vocational training and promote the research movement, technical innovation in the whole industry.
