Quang Tri Self-Made Training Equipment Competition: Where the intelligence of teachers and students shines.

On the morning of November 5th, at Quang Tri Vocational College (Dong Thuan ward, Quang Tri province), the Quang Tri Department of Education and Training inaugurated the first Quang Tri Provincial Self-Made Training Equipment Competition, 2025.

The ceremony was attended by representatives from provincial departments and agencies, as well as vocational education institutions, lecturers, students, and pupils.

This year's competition showcases 25 self-made training devices and models from 18 vocational education institutions across the province.

The products participating focused on industry sectors such as electrical engineering - garment manufacturing; agriculture ; automotive technology - welding - driving - services - law.

Dr. Le Thi Huong, an outstanding educator and Director of the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri province, delivered the opening speech for the competition.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr. Le Thi Huong, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri province, emphasized: “The competition is an opportunity to honor the creative spirit of teachers, students, and trainees, contributing to spreading the movement of self-making training equipment throughout the province. It also strengthens cooperation between vocational education institutions and businesses.”

Within the framework of the competition, the products will be displayed, explained, and demonstrated live. The judging panel will evaluate them based on criteria such as creativity, applicability, and pedagogical effectiveness.

Many models and products are highly regarded for their creativity and high applicability.

Many models and devices attracted attention, such as: an automatic pipe welding device using MIG/MAG welding technology; a high-tech pig breeding farm model; a device for controlling and monitoring training equipment on an AWS web server; a multi-functional welding table with electric motor lifting and lowering; and a model of an automatic irrigation system using humidity sensors and solar energy...

The students' research equipment and models demonstrate a spirit of creativity.

Each device is the result of research, innovation, and the accumulation of practical experience by teachers, technical staff, and students during the teaching and learning process.

The judges scored the devices participating in the competition.

The winning devices in this competition will be selected to participate in the National Self-Made Training Equipment Competition organized by the Ministry of Education and Training.

Beyond being an intellectual playground, the competition contributes to promoting the creative emulation movement, the spirit of self-making equipment to serve teaching work, aiming to improve the quality of vocational training and promote the movement of research and technical innovation throughout the industry.
