Artist Nguyen Hoang Hoanh stated that "The Echo" could be an echo from the past, like a time machine taking us through old memories; or it could be the echo of the soul towards the future, about a change, something better and happier.

Viewers felt a sense of peace after seeing 31 works compiled from 4 collections, in silk and oil paint, on the themes of love for homeland, country, and the people of Southern Vietnam by artist Nguyen Hoang Hoanh. Many notable works include "Death Before Release," "Playing the Flute," "Childhood," etc.
Artist Nguyen Hoang Hoanh was born in 1937 in the old Cho Lon (now Duc Hoa, Long An ). In 1953, he studied at the Gia Dinh School of Applied Arts. In 1960, he graduated from the Saigon College of Fine Arts. Currently, despite his advanced age, he continues to create art. He meticulously works on his large-scale oil paintings every day.
