On the afternoon of May 3rd, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management ( Ministry of Health ) announced that during the April 30th and May 1st holiday period, medical facilities nationwide provided examination and emergency care to over 316,800 patients.
Specifically, in the 24 hours from 7:00 AM on May 2nd to 7:00 AM on May 3rd, the entire health sector received 141,187 visits for examination and emergency care. Of these, 31,002 people were admitted for inpatient treatment, 22,252 were discharged, and 2,308 cases were referred to other facilities.
The total number of patients currently receiving treatment at medical facilities as of 7:00 AM on May 3rd is 250,594, including 3,617 severe or critical cases.
In the past 24 hours, 266 deaths were recorded (including those before hospitalization and those discharged at home with a fatal prognosis). The number of cases examined and treated suspected of being traffic accident-related was 2,702, including 15 deaths.
From 7:00 AM on April 30th to 7:00 AM on May 3rd, healthcare facilities received 316,870 outpatient and emergency visits; 91,749 hospitalizations and 67,584 discharges. The total number of deaths during this period was 730.
According to the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management, despite the increased workload during the holiday period, medical facilities maintained a four-level on-call system, ensuring emergency care and treatment, especially for severe and critical cases.
Traffic accidents during the holiday period did not show any significant increase.
