Over 50 workers hospitalized.

In Quang Ninh , 57 workers at Vega Balls Co., Ltd., Dong Mai Industrial Park, Quang Yen town, experienced shortness of breath, headaches, and nausea while working and had to be hospitalized on February 21st.

At approximately 9:30 AM, after dozens of workers showed signs of fatigue, Vega Balls Co., Ltd. temporarily halted production and allowed workers to rest outside. The company then took 33 workers to Vietnam-Sweden Uong Bi Hospital and 24 to Quang Yen Town Medical Center for examination and monitoring, suspected to be due to gas poisoning.

According to the leaders of the Quang Yen town People's Committee, 100% of the workers have now regained consciousness but are still being monitored at medical facilities. Authorities are investigating to determine the exact cause.

Vega Balls Co., Ltd. is a 100% Taiwanese-owned company specializing in the production and processing of sports and fitness equipment. The company built its factory in the Dong Mai Industrial Park in 2016, and this is the first time an incident has occurred resulting in multiple workers being hospitalized.
