General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, along with many leaders and former leaders of the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front, international friends, and tens of thousands of people were present at Ba Dinh Square to attend the commemoration ceremony. Along the streets, tens of thousands of people lined the roads with flags and flowers to witness the parade and march commemorating the 80th anniversary of National Day.
The 80th anniversary celebration of National Day on September 2nd began with a torch procession and the lighting of the traditional revolutionary flame. The traditional revolutionary torch was passed on from the Ho Chi Minh Museum.

At approximately 7 o'clock, General Secretary To Lam delivered a commemorative speech. In his speech, the General Secretary affirmed: Looking towards the future, our Party aims for Vietnam to be a strong, prosperous, and happy nation by 2045, the 100th anniversary of the founding of the country. This is the aspiration of the entire nation, a solemn oath before history and the people.

The parade began with formations of the Vietnam People's Air Force. Leading the way were formations of Mi-171, Mi-17, and Mi-8 helicopters, carrying the Party flag and the national flag, flying over the historic Ba Dinh Square. Following them were formations of Casa C-295 and C212i transport aircraft, considered "silent warriors," responsible for combat coordination, reconnaissance, transport, and search and rescue operations.

On September 2nd, a voice of pride resonates in every frame: majestic on land, in the air, and at sea.
Simultaneously, at the Cam Ranh military base in Khanh Hoa province, formations of forces participated in a naval parade. These forces included: command ships; maritime patrol aircraft, anti-submarine helicopters; submarine squadrons, missile frigates, anti-submarine frigates, fast attack missile boats, and gunboats of the Vietnam People's Navy; squadrons of ships of the Vietnam Coast Guard; Border Guard and Permanent Militia Naval Squadron, along with many other modern vehicles and equipment.

Next came the ceremonial procession, consisting of four blocks, led by a float displaying the national emblem of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Following this were the blocks carrying the Party flag and the national flag; a procession of floats carrying the portrait of President Ho Chi Minh; and floats displaying symbols commemorating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd.

Next came 26 military contingents, led by 5 Command vehicles and the All-Army Flag Team vehicle commanded by Lieutenant General Nguyen Hong Thai, Deputy Minister of National Defense, leading the contingents representing the heroic Vietnam People's Army and the Self-Defense Militia, advancing towards the ceremonial platform.
