Implementing the National Out-of-Hospital Emergency Care Project for the period 2025-2030 (chaired by the Ministry of Health , sponsored by Vingroup), on the morning of June 24th, a group of instructors from Ha Tinh Provincial General Hospital, in coordination with the Ha Tinh Provincial Police, organized a training program on "community first aid" for 20 trainees, including traffic police and fire police officers.

Over the course of one day, instructors from the Provincial General Hospital directly guided the trainees in several basic community first aid skills such as: approaching and initially assessing victims in first aid; cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR); using an automated external defibrillator (AED); first aid for airway obstruction; how to initially assess injuries, external bleeding, control bleeding and bandage wounds; immobilizing fractures, head and neck injuries, and spinal injuries; transporting victims in emergency situations and practicing emergency scenarios.

The lectures are primarily hands-on, using models. In addition to practicing emergency first aid independently, trainees are also guided on how to perform and coordinate with other members when providing emergency first aid in a group setting within a community environment.

Equipping the armed forces with basic first aid knowledge is extremely important in disaster prevention and search and rescue operations. In particular, it helps provide effective initial support to victims, minimize casualties, and significantly reduce the time it takes to reach the injured at the scene, increasing the chances of survival for victims.
