Mobilizing social resources in planting trees in rural areas

According to the report of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, in the period of 2021-2024, Dong Nai mobilized nearly 16.7 million green tree varieties including: forestry trees, fruit trees... invested by organizations, households and individuals.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment has received nearly 21.4 billion VND from the provincial budget and other sources to purchase nearly 3.8 million forestry seedlings of various types such as black star, tung oil, hybrid acacia... In addition, many units and enterprises directly participate in purchasing seedlings to support localities in planting trees and forests.

The number of seedlings is annually distributed to localities, which are responsible for organizing the planting and care of trees. The People's Committees of districts and cities are responsible for the implementation, self-review and determine the planting location according to regulations, inspect, accept, evaluate, report the results and plant and care for trees upon receipt.

Thanks to the effective mobilization of social resources, the province has successfully implemented the Project of Planting 1 Billion Trees in the period of 2021-2025. By the end of 2024, the whole province had planted nearly 20.6 million trees of all kinds.
